La Chef — Restaurant in Stockholm

Very small place lacking character. Lack of character can also be said about the service. I've eaten at several restaurants, Italian included of course but asking for parmesan and at first being told '"you have some" then insisting for it was the first time I had ever heard something like that. Afterwards it was taken to the kitchen back to add more instead of them giving me a bowl to put it on myself which just felt extra cheap and was another blow to the service. Though the biggest thing that bothered me was the inability to describe the dishes properly from the staff which should've been my sign to leave already.

Came here on a Sunday around 7PM in June, and saw this was one of the only restaurants nearby still open and serving food. Great food and reasonable pricing (considering the area/Stockholm prices). Also, it's set in a lovely scenic area. My partner and I both ordered the local beer, and shared multiple dishes: the vegetarian meatballs, vegetarian pizza, carbonera, and chicken skewers. We both agreed the vegetarian dishes were better! The vegetarian Swedish “meatballs” were delicious, however the balls were small and there was a bit too much sauce. We loved the fancy potatoes and would have liked more. Considering this, the pizza may have been the best — lots of flavor with a nice, light sauce. I loved the place. We visited Stockholm for a few hours on Monday, were looking for a nice place in the old city to have lunch and walked in there.
