If you’re dining out during New Year’s Eve, you’re most certainly looking for a cosy ambience with family recipes - this is the place. Make sure to book as it gets busy, you’ll have a 2 hour time slot. Ask for balsamic vinegar if you order the cold cuts as your starter - you’ll have the option of the “normal” watery one or the pear & walnut which is concentrated (choose the latter, it is beyond heaven). We ordered pasta with beef, Parma ham pizza, steak and ravioli - it felt like we were being hosted by an Italian family on a typical Sunday. For afters, the cheeseboard we ordered was not on the menu, however the owner was very kind to plate us a selection…and if you’re looking to surprise someone for their birthday last minute, Rodolfino will absolutely discreetly bring out a sparkler with your choice of dessert (on their menu states “the best tiramisu” - it is light and simplistic, full of texture and flavour). The owners are Swedish Italian, they and their staff were a pleasure to talk with. What an experience in Stockholm for New Year’s Eve!

Revisited after around 6 years when I had accidentally went h there as a teenager! 🍕 Just finished the meal and I’m stunned of how great the food was! I had Cesar salad with extremely juicy chicken (only a tiny bit too much dressing for my liking) and my dad had 4 cheese pizza and it was DELIGHTFUL! The chef was truly generous with topping the cheeses 😊 the tomato base was amazing and all in all, the pizza was well balanced and filling. The atmosphere was cozy, really Italian 🇮🇹 The waiter gave a bit of a lecture when we wanted to get tea to pizza, because that’s not how it is done in Italy, and then when I asked for “black coffee” he also corrected my naming of it… 😂 at first I thought he was being a bit rude, but then I realized he was just very Italian at heart, respectful of how it “shall be done originally” - adorable! I will definitely visit this place again when I come to Stockholm 🇸🇪

We decided to stop by here for a good Italian meal before leaving Gamla stan. We were immediately welcomed in and found a cosy Italian atmosphere, yet calm and not noisy. We were accompanied to our table and had our orders, bruschetta and lasagna. As native Italian I can say it was really a good one, with tasty basciamella sauce. We pampered ourselves at the end with a couple of home made tiramisu that really raised up our mood and glicemic index with plenty of euphoria, and as Sambuca was there just in front of us, the coffee ought to a "corretto" one. Waiters very kind and never invasive, service quick, price reasonable. As I don't want to appear adulatory, as improvement I may suggest a little more coffee in the cookies of tiramisu, but it is really a personal taste... I do recommend this place, as it has satisfied my expectations.

If possible, I would have rated zero stars for service and quality of food, something is seriously wrong with this restaurant . I come to Rodolfinos an early afternoon for lunch with the family, it was normally full in the outdoor dining area, and we were immediately shown a table by a middle-aged female waitress, who had a tics on her face. There was no smile, the menus were slapped on the table, before she disappeared to get drinks. We ordered water, wanted from a carafel, but were served 4 bottles of water. The mistake was pointed out, she started arguing with us, came across as very arrogant, and finally told us not to believe that the water was free no matter what we chose. She then returned with lukewarm tap water in a carafel, and took orders for food, before disappearing again. For the next 55 minutes no waiters looked at us but we could tell they were understaffed and they were busy so didn't react to it. After about 55 - 60 minutes, the food arrived, and one of the party members pointed out that there was no bread promised for the food, to which the waitress replied ironically that she had not finished serving the table yet. Quite a few minutes passed, and the food for the rest of the party arrived, and the bread was again in demand; where the waiter exploded in the face of our member, and became very rude, in such a way that it was felt unpleasant for the whole party, and we subsequently lost our appetite. We had ordered the fish soup of the day; who didn’t have fish in it - and the lasagna, which reminded us of soup. The bread that finally arrived, seemed to be left overs from other guests. Though we didn’t dare to complain, as the male waiter appeared as mentally unstable. This waiter did not take correction very well, and we basically thought we had ended up in an episode of "hidden camera" - but now later on, when I have read other reviews of the restaurant on this site and others, I realize that it is about the employees of the restaurant, and their general attitudes towards guests. The owner of the restaurant is obviously not fit to run a restaurant of this calibre, and I really hope that the investors will be reading all the latest reviews, and that they will make the necessary changes to make Rodolfinos great again. We have never experienced the likes, and will never return. Good luck to all upcoming guests...

We ordered the menu of the day, consisting of starter Bruchetta, main course pasta with beef and mushroom sauce and for dessert Tiramisu. We ordered pasta with salmon for our son. The bruchetta was served with just one piece of toast. The toast was charred in both cases. All 3 pasta dishes came with overcooked pasta. The two versions with mushroom sauce and meat had almost no mushrooms and the meat was used very sparingly. The pasta with salmon did not contain a single piece of salmon. It was pasta with salmon sauce without any pieces of salmon. The cheekiest thing: we were actually charged 25 crowns for tap water, which is completely unusual. One of the waitresses was very unfriendly and rude. When asked about the unusual bill for tap water, she simply said that it was fair, because the restaurant had to pay for tap water as well and that it was normal in Stockholm. We know Stockholm well. That is completely unusual. To charge around EUR 110 for such a service and far below average food quality in this price range is completely unacceptable and a real cheek. There are several other Italian restaurants and other cuisines in the immediate vicinity with much better service and much better quality. This restaurant is completely unacceptable!

And additional just to clarify what was just answered by the owner. We returned two plates where we just ate 10% of what was served. A third plate was finished because I was too hungry to look for a alternative restaurant. So this information from the reply of the restaurant is completely incorrect. We also advised the restaurant once we were there that we are not satisfied. They reacted rude in every sense imaginable. Additional the reaction of the restaurant in their answer show that they are not aware of what service and quality means. They are completely overpriced for the quality and non-service (charging e.g for tap water and completely...

Located in Stockholm on the corner of a main street for bars and restaurants. Typical Italian decor but not unpleasant on the eye, plenty of I door tables. Booked on line which was very simple to do. On attending the restaurant, we weren't greeted with that Italian enthusiastic smile or happy nature. We were shown to our table, given menu's, orders taken, food and drink delivered - just the basics, no engagement, no smiles, no making you feel special and welcome but just going through the motions, no love for the role. No offer to hang our coats - but I can live with that. The toilet was multi sex use, but had splashback over the seat (our female diner declined to use it) A taster was requested for a rose wine to see if it was too sweet, but had to buy a glass - before then buying a bottle, we had to ask for water for the table, we also had to ask for ground black pepper, no one checked to see if the food was okay, table cleared as soo. As we finished and then hovered around the table for the bill to be paid and for us to leave, even though there were very few customers and no one needing our table. The food was acceptable, freshly cooked and good portion sizes (but only a 3.5 🌟) The restaurant was very quite, very few tables booked and this did not help with the atmosphere, it just lacked that authentic Italian vibe. If this restaurant was in Rome / Florence it would crash and burn against its competitors. It's an easy fix - love your job &...
