Went to Madrid TapasBar to celebrate my sister’s birthday. The visit unfortunately left a lot to be desired. While the food was decent, the service was absolutely terrible. It was very disorganized and we ended up waiting a ridiculous 50 minutes to receive our food. When they finally brought it out several items were still missing and we had to remind the staff a number of times. Even worse, it took 30 minutes for the staff to refill our water, which is a basic expectation that should have been taken care of much sooner.
On top of that, we asked three different waiters to bring us another can of sangria, but it took a whopping 40 minutes for it to arrive (during which all of us were sitting with empty glasses). This showed a complete lack of communication and coordination among the staff, and left us feeling frustrated and ignored. We could tell that the staff knew they had messed up, but their attempts at compensation were woefully inadequate. On a bill of 3,700 SEK, they offered us only a jar of olives - hardly a satisfying resolution to our frustrating experience.
Overall, while the food was decent, the awful service and disorganization ruined our dining experience. For a tapas restaurant, we expected the food to be served relatively quickly, but unfortunately we ended up waiting an unreasonable amount of time for everything. We left the restaurant feeling disappointed and frustrated, and it's a shame that such a potentially great dining experience was ruined by poor service and...

I wish this review was about the food, but the manager did not allow us to give it a chance.
We had ordered multiple plates per person and a bottle of wine and were about to order a second when the manager came over to our table and started harassing my friend because he “had a few buttons undone” and demanded that he button up. Funny enough, none of the 3 waiters we interacted with said anything, no one stopped us at the door, and no one mentioned a “dress code”. It was evident that the manager only went on the attack after some time had passed and it became evident my friend and his husband were gay.
My friend told us to stay and enjoy our meal while he went elsewhere as we had already placed the order a while back, but we refused to stay. I’m surprised to find such a horrible place in Sweden in this day and age. If I could give it zero stars I would.
This is a tapas bar on a street surrounded by bars and late night fast food, not a fine dining establishment. Extremely...
Read moreBad service, and the food was just ok. I was extremely disappointed despite ensuring on their website that the restaurant is complying with COVID-19 restrictions, and they were not. They didn’t ensure that all the guests can keep at least one meter's distance from other people. I felt they were filling in the restaurant with as many people as possible, which made me feel extremely unsafe and extremely uncomfortable..
Answer to owner: Even if you literally followed Folkhälsomyndighetens’ rules, it was too crowded, and it definitely did not feel Corona safe. People who were placed in the same corner with me shared the same concern and left directly as they did not feel safe at your restaurant. As a part of the community, social distancing should be taken...
