Mae Thai Mariatorget — Restaurant in Stockholm

This is the max i could eat. Waste of money. The salad’s water was smelling strange, i feel super disgusted. They need to get better with hygiene.

To answer the restaurant: I actually love Thai food, ate this meal before somewhere else and been to Thailand as well, the salad water was smelling not fish souce but other types of meats; such as pork. This is not the way of doing it. They are probably using the same pans for everything, I don’t know. The place is truly unhygienic, I should have checked myself instead of my friend ordering. I told you unhygienic because your working place is covered with grease, everything is everywhere, your long haired workers not even closing their hair or tying it and many more other reasons.

The owners are too defensive for criticism as well. I checked the rest of the comments they scolded everyone. Instead of calling people ignorant & you don’t know this cuisine etc. try to be worthy of your name, I don’t know how this place is open. Long live glorious...

Mae Thai has a pretty good amount of choices on their menu varying from curries to woks to fried chicken; basically all you would expect from a thai menu. I've been here once so far and ordered s&s fried chicken along with the star dish of Thailand, Tom Yum Goong (which I highly recommend from this establishment) and I was not disappointed! The taste and quality of the food guarantees that I'll be going there again for a second round in the near future. 🙏

Pros: Friendly staff. Nice outdoor seating area. Warm during cold rainy days such as today. Blankets provided in the outdoor seating area. Great variety of dishes to order on the menu. Fairly decent prices given the quality and quantity.

Cons: Nothing major. There are however several soft drink cans that have collected a bunch of dust by the front desk next to the chopsticks and napkins that should be cleaned or swapped for new cans even if they are only used as decor. Just to improve first...

Worst food i may ever eat in my life! I didn’t eat any soup or salad. I had the chicken sweet and sour, and it was dry and lacking flavor. Also, the place looked dirty even from the outside, which made me uncomfortable before I even went in. I was eating alone, so I’m not sure why the owner mentioned someone else. Instead of addressing customer feedback with respect, the owner chose to make assumptions and insult me, calling me ignorant. That says a lot more about the management than about my review.

Everyone has different tastes, and I shared my honest experience. A more professional response would have been appreciated.
