Söder Marley Cafe — Restaurant in Stockholm

A 10-star experience—easily one of the highlights of our trip to Stockholm! My wife and I are coffee lovers from the Pacific Northwest, and while exploring the SoFo neighborhood, we stumbled upon Söder Marley Café. As longtime fans of Bob Marley, we were immediately drawn in—and from the moment we walked through the door and said “Hej!”, we felt right at home.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, filled with positive energy and good vibes. We enjoyed a friendly, laid-back chat with the barista while sipping espresso—mine was the Buffalo Soldier blend: bold, potent, yet incredibly smooth. My wife had Lively Up, which she also loved. Both were so good we bought bags to bring home.

What truly made this visit unforgettable was the genuine connection we made. We shared stories of reggae concerts and realized we may have crossed paths at a show in Hawaii back in 2018. The hospitality and heart behind this place truly reflect the Marley spirit.

HIDDEN GEM! GREAT COFFEE AND FOOD. I am a tourist and I found this place through Google Maps. It's a cozy, unassuming spot. We were greeted by the owner who explained the different coffee blends, the food menu, and the food specials. He was lovely. I got a cortado and my husband got the special blend Sodermalm tea. We ordered the special, which was a lentil soup, and I got a mozzarella and tomato sandwich. I'm not a huge fan of lentils, but this was SO GOOD. It was seasoned perfectly! My sandwich was made to order and I could tell the ingredients were very fresh. Yum! We both enjoyed our drinks, too. Overall, if you're in the area I highly recommend...

I went inside and had a look at the menu board, during this time I sat down and the staff behind the counter greeted me. They told me to come up to the counter to order and I told them I will but I wanted to think about what I wanted to order first. They proceeded to tell me that I could not sit there until I had ordered something as if I was not allowed time to think about what I wanted. The tone used was completely rude and I did not feel welcome at all, at this point I decided to get up and leave. Not the kind of experience I was expecting at such a nice...
