Thelins Grand Cafe — Restaurant in Stockholm

Situated at "kungsträdgården" the Royal Garden. The metro station is T Centralen. The lemong meringue cake was really good and fresh. The caffe au lait coupe was smaller than what normally is in other places. I asked to have my caffe au lait on a te coupe (the te coupes were a little bigger), but the answer instead was that i could have my caffe in a papper coupe. My daughter wanted to have a vegetarian sandwich and asked if we could buy a croissant with nothing in it (which they had) and put some slices of 🧀 but this was not possible either. Consequently, we needed to buy root fruit chips to compensate. On the menu, they had only one "non alcoholic" coctail 🍸 but to our surprise, it was just a sort of lemonade from a bottle. This is not how a cocktail should be! The place is beautiful, situated, but the management needs to focus on more flexibility to give a better experience to the paying customers. Nice location but... Music too loud and wrong kind. Club and lounge music on a sidewalk cafe of traditional type do not go well together. Many complained about the music which was obviously played for the staffs benefit, not the guests.. Why have music at all in an outdoor location where conversations are what matter most? Every sidewalk cafe in Kungsträdgården used to be silent - there's enough hustle and bustle going on to fill your ears anyway. That's called ambience and is part of the enjoyable experience. But club music during lunch in Kungsträdgården? No. Avoid Thelins if you want to eat something, relax and watch people walk by. The music, which no guests seem to want, ...

They have Swedish fika (coffees and sweet stuff) snacks sandwiches food and alcohol, and a nice view plus outdoor seatings. I had the salmon dish and it was good but a bit small and (245 SEK!) and very fattening, the whole dish seemed pan fried and then on top of it all - a lot of melted butter that kind of destroyed the whole dish since it was so greasy. A beautiful meal like that should not be greasy. Please change this. The house red and white wine was expensive for the taste and rosé wine they were out of.. The bathroom they should clean more often during the day. I will still come back cause I love their carrot cake and...
