Timmermans 1857 — Restaurant in Stockholm

The food itself was delicious but sadly that is where the positives end.

Relative to the price paid the entre portion was very small, 3 prawns and some garlic bread. Delicious, but again for what you pay you expect a bit more.

What let the whole experience down is the very mediocre service from the waiter that served us. A very grumpy elderly gentleman. When filling the wine glass he would repeatedly spill some down the side, he would talk over you, we had to walk over and grab his attention to ask for desserts after waiting a very long time.

Timmerman's was my second lucky find on that final day of my visit to Stockholm, after I had completely accidentally stumbled across Reenstiernska palatset, built by an ancient ancestor, just around the corner at Jakob Mommas gatan. The gentleman handling the customer service singlehandedly that evening was exceptionally helpful and friendly, guiding me to the best choices for my dinner menu. The food was delicious, especially the deer filet, grilled to perfection. I can heartily recommend Timmerman's, and will certainly be back, should my travels bring me back...

We had the longest waiting time ever at this restaurant. We booked a table a week in advance, pre-ordered food, because we were in a bigger group we planned everything in advance, but when we came nothing was ready. We waited 75 minutes before they started bringing the starter. Then in took about 30 minutes to bring the main course, some colleagues left without even waiting for the dessert. It was a disaster. When I talked to the personnel that they are way too slow, they became aggressive and rude. I will never go to that restaurant again, neither will...
