Alte Post — Restaurant in Basel

I visited Alte Post restaurant for a quick dinner during the week of December 2024. I had a severe hankering for rosti and I'd heard positive things about Alte Post both in terms of quality and price. The decor is quite traditional and we visited during a week day - there was only one other large table at the time and so it was fairly quiet and relaxed inside. I ordered the sausage rosti with cheese and was a bit disappointed in my choice. The meal itself was really good but I was imagining an entire sausage as opposed to it being cut up and mixed into the dish. After a lot of walking at the Basel Zoo, we were quite famished and felt like having some Italian fare. Restaurant Alte Post was in the vicinity and we decided to try it out. And we were so happy to have gone there ! The service was fantastic and our server offered great suggestions on our selection of wines. ich möchte meine aufrichtige Begeisterung für das hervorragende Erlebnis in Ihrem Restaurant zum Ausdruck bringen. Mein Besuch war rundum beeindruckend, und ich möchte meine Erfahrung gerne teilen.

Die Leberli in der "Alten Post" haben meinen Gaumen verzaubert – perfekt zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Die Vielfalt auf der Speisekarte und die frischen Zutaten haben mich nachhaltig beeindruckt.

Der Service war herausragend. Das Personal war aufmerksam, freundlich und stets darauf bedacht, dass es uns an nichts fehlt. Die Empfehlungen des Kellners haben unsere Erwartungen übertroffen.

Die Atmosphäre in der "Alten Post" ist einzigartig und sehr angenehm. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung und die sorgfältige Gestaltung trugen dazu bei, dass der Abend besonders genussvoll verlief.

Insgesamt möchte ich dem gesamten Team in der "Alten Post" meine Anerkennung aussprechen. Ihr Engagement für exzellentes Essen und herausragenden Service hat meinen Abend unvergesslich gemacht. Ich werde Ihr Restaurant definitiv weiterempfehlen und freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.
