3.5 stars !! It s a new fresh business in town. Lets Split it down : 10 points for reservation and reaction time ! We called 10min befor wakling in, they made room it was all very easy and swift. 5 points for the place : good location but the noise is insane and the seats are not confortable. 8 points for the staff. Nice and Merry I wish they had shared recomendations though as the place is very new ! 7 points for drinks : they have wine, italian and swiss beer but for a " napolitain pizzeria" they have not the Azzuro that is just perfect match ! 9 point for the dought. Soft and yumi it remind me of napolitan pizza !! Keep it up good job 💪 5 point for the margarita ... it should have been the strongest pizza on the menu the perfect one ! Yet it was too timid ! The cheese was good the olive oil ration was perfect but ...It misses some tomato sauce ! I could bearly taste it... The zucca was good as a special and fits the season but somehow the cheese quality was poor. Could not tell if it was smoked. All in all 2 pizza 2 drinks 54chf normal for Basel. Price is correct can not pay with postcard 🙈 The concret painted floor is slipery ladies if you wear heels🙈😅 The boss is charming 😉
You can feel the napolitain wannabe I will definitly come back and try them all and I'm looking forward to see this place grow as it is just fresh and need...

I had the pleasure of dining at DIO/MIO Neapolitan Pizza with a colleague, and we both absolutely loved the food! Craving an authentic Italian pizza, we decided to give this place a try, and it exceeded expectations.
I ordered the Margherita pizza, and my friend opted for a vegetarian pizza—both were delicious, fresh, and perfectly made. The spicy olive oil added the perfect kick to my pizza, making the flavors even more enjoyable. It couldn’t have been better! Their beer collection was also fantastic, offering a great selection to pair with the meal. Service was very slow though, deserts took forever to get served.
We didn’t make a reservation in advance and just walked in. While we were lucky to get a table, it was right next to the entrance. I’d highly recommend making a reservation if you're visiting with family or friends to ensure a more comfortable seating arrangement.
The restaurant is in a prime location, just a short walk from the train station, making it super convenient whether you're in the area for work or leisure. If you’re looking for authentic Neapolitan pizza with great flavors and a cozy ambiance, DIO/MIO Neapolitan Pizza is a must-visit! Highly...
Read moreAs a person who used to order pizza from DIO/MIO quite often through Uber Eats I got very insulted and disappointed today. When me and my date arrived at the place we were given the table outside and everything seemed nice, we mostly interacted with a nice bearded waiter. I just want to make it clear that I have no problem with that person, he was very professional and genuinely tried to help. Unlike another waitress(short, Southern European, middle aged woman, with glasses and tattoos on both hands) who was asked after 40 minutes of waiting: “When can we expect our pizza?”, decided to blame us for not reserving a table in advance and giving us a lecture and screaming in a highly disrespectful tone like we did something wrong. I was way too flabbergasted to respond at that moment. Never have I ever experienced such a bad service in my entire life. We finally received our pizza 1hr 10 minutes later and it wasn’t even good! Then the waitress walked around our table and screamed “Enjoy!” while I was talking to my date. I paid for everything 90 dollars…After my experience today I’ll never order a pizza here again, until the waitress I described gets fired! To everyone reading this, go here ONLY if you want to be disrespected and...
