The food is at best average and overpriced. The service is downright rude, even by stern Germanic Basel standards. The place has recently been remodeled so relatively clean. Nasi Gorang was okay, but some ingredients didn't taste fresh and not much taste overall. Be prepared to pay extra for sauces and water (they won't give you tap water). It has a bathroom, but it's kept away from even their customers unless you wrangle with the proprietors to get them tell you where it's located. Nothing exceptional with the food. One of the staff was extremely rude: I was just confirming whether the fried rice contained chicken, she said with a sarcasting, bitchy behaviour: yeah you can see it here oh!!” The food label was on top of lamp! Service was also bad: asked to takeout our food they gave us take away box.

We’re visiting from Geneva and this restaurant paints a bad representation of hospitality and good service from Swiss restaurants.

They should close this restaurant or fire the staff who are unhappy...

The food tasted okay ish. Both our food was freshly cooked. During the night both of us started getting a fever, stomach cramps, diarrhea and we were vomiting all night and are still sick. We contracted a Norovirus which gave us both a nasty stomach flu. Since my girlfriend and I had been pretty isolated from other people this week and got sick at the same time after eating at Mr. Wong, we are pretty sure we contracted the virus from our food...
