Einstein – café & bel étage — Restaurant in Bern

We visited the cafe in the morning and we ordered 2 coffee and one ham & salami plater($29). First of all, the slim waiter was very impolite all the way. And more importantly, the bill I paid is 48. I trusted them and didn’t even ask for the receipt when making the payment but after I use the bathroom downstairs, I realized the amount is way too much. So I asked the waiter for my receipt. We waited 10 mins for the receipt as he said he has to find it, I don’t know why you need to find the receipt for 10 mins. It’s right in the system. And I found out we were ordered 3 more items after what we truly ordered. The waiter refunded to us $19 by cash immediately and said sorry but I don’t know if he is really sorry or not. How this can happen???? If the waitress who ordered the food by mistake at the beginning, then we should get the food, right? So I would only think this is on purpose. Also I think this place makes me feel...

We visited this cafe on 3rd March at 4pm. We waited to be seated and was only attended to after 10 minutes. When the server approached us, she bluntly asked us if we were ready to order. Keep in mind, there was no menu handed to us at all!

Anyways, after we ordered with her and eaten our pastries, she came and took our plate from our table, without even asking us or even making eye contact. I understand if there is nothing on the plate anymore, but the least she could have done was asked us politely.

And that made me wonder how she treated other customers. There was a group of 3 seated around us, and she was talking to them politely, even laughing.

To be honest, I did felt a little discriminated by her, because of how she had treated us.

Will I ever come again,...

When I walked in the waitress clearly wanted me gone, refused to give me a menu ( got one from the server). I stated that I thought I saw they had an ice coffee of sorts. She suggested only the cappuccino frappe, and said you want it sweet? I said no sugar just the iced cappuccino... It came incredibly sweet. Then she took another 15 minutes to even show back up in the room that I was in. When I asked if they had added sugar, she tried to say that it might be the cows milk... Don't think so... Oh well, at least the croissant was good!
