BEST restaurant in Bern HANDS DOWN!
Service: 10/10 Everyone who works there is so kind, helpful and really have curated such an amazing atmosphere. The owner is hands on by waiting tables when it gets full to ensure all customers are left happy, full and satisfied.
I arrived with a friend without booking on a Sunday evening and there were completely booked. We had to wait for 10/15 minutes for a table but the owner made sure that we had a drink in our hands and always kept us updated.
Atmosphere: 10/10 This is obviously only possible from the attitude and effort of the employees. It is such a joy to be in such a loud, vibrant place filled with laughter, happy friends and family talking. If you’re looking for a place filled with love and passion- this is the place to be.
Food: 1000/10 The food is to DIE for. I had both their cali and original style burrito with their vegan creme fraiche- I had to hold back tears! It is rare to find a restaurant that obviously prides itself on its flavour without breaking the bank. To find any restaurant that cooks a half decent meal- you have to pay an arm and a leg and you’re not even guaranteed to still get food. Burrito Bandito is nothing like that. They curate flavourful food with a huge array of options to choose from- burritos, tacos, loaded fries, nachos, quesadillas, smash burgers, burrito bowls and a beautiful selection of sauces. They also have at least a third of their menu available in vegan style so there is something for almost everyone.
I will gladly give all my money to Burrito Bandito in the attempt to eat every single item on their menu. This place is that amazing!
(Next time, I’ll definitely take better...
Read moreBest Mexican food in Europe!!!! Calexico style Burritos are definitely the best. Being a New Yorker myself we came across Florian Café on a Sunday (bonus point OPEN SUNDAY)early evening looking for a place to have dinner before taking the train to Zürich. Little we knew we were in for a special treat what has become one of the culinary highlights of our trip. Right at the entrance of the Bern main station is the Cafe Florian with Burrito Bandito inside. It's like a present inside another present. I ordered a chicken burrito and as soon as I took the first bite I knew this was different and definitely special. We met Sam who is truly a master in crafting Mexican food Californian style. I flat out told him I thought for a second I was in Brooklyn being teletransported with this flavor. The ambiance is very laid back and friendly, the sound system is also very good with a great playlist. After taking our 4 year old son to visit the Alps for the first time this was the best way to end the day. Whether you live in Bern or are just passing by, this place is a destination. If you want to have something special and different in a multicultural environment, go to Burrito Bandito inside Cafe Florian. Between a great beer and drink selection and amazing food, you will leave with a smile on your face and will...
Read more+attentive personnel +nice cozy place with great music and long list of multiple nice drinks and cocktails +great location, +awesome list of TeX mex food I ordered the loaded nachos and here is my detailed review:
-Being a latino I love loaded nachos, but I regret to say that they do not have a meat option (it could include chicken or beef, for example). -Unlike all the other loaded nachos I've tasted in Mexico, USA, Colombia, Venezuela, geneva, they do not come with refried beans or any beans for that matter. -their pico de gallo is tiny (but the taste is almost as good as a homemade one that I used to sell in my company in Venezuela) -they use red cabbage and alfalfa, they are definitely extra. The loaded nachos would be best with the pico de gallo, cheese, jalapeños and chicken. -some nachos were burnt +taking the alfalfa and the red cabbage aside, the melted cheese jalapeño and the Chipotle mayo taste amazing. First time in Europe that the hotness of the sauce in a restaurant makes my eyes watery.
Well done. 4...
