A hidden sushi bar tucked away in the old town of Bern. I had been searching for traditional sushi that could match the incredible flavors I experienced during my trip to Japan last summer — and I finally found it, or at least something very close. The menu is very limited, with no inside-out rolls or overly elaborate creations — just like in Japan. Nigiri, sashimi, and maki, all crafted with care. The quality of the fish is outstanding — I’ve never had such melt-in-your-mouth sushi anywhere else in Switzerland. It’s a charming little bar that invites you to watch the chef skillfully prepare each piece. The staff, made up of Japanese women, are incredibly warm and welcoming. Overall, the whole experience brought back a wave of nostalgia and beautiful memories from my time in Japan. The prices are a bit on the higher side, but fair by Swiss standards. If you’re looking for authentic Japanese sushi, this is the place to go!

That’s my favorite sushi restaurant in Switzerland, although the space is a little small, but never mind. They’re very family friendly and considerate. The sushi and sashimi have a high quality. The cuisine is as authentic as it can be. Besides the sushi & sashimi, I love their salad with the home made sauce and especially the cold somen noodles soup is an absolute must. The home made ice cream is very delicious, but unfortunately there are no non-dairy options.

Sushi was amazingly fresh, and up to now the best sake. The desserts were really delicious too.. But the highlight, which I haven found so far in bern to such a high quality is the Sesam salad sauce, you can buy it ready and take it home! What a brilliant idea!!!

The sashimi tasted like it was virtually fresh. We actually came in without a reservation and they still allowed us to order. It was obvious why. Almost everyone in town knew they were probably one of the best Japanese Sushi Restaurants in Bern. The meals were structured just right for varying degrees of hunger and balance. These people knew exactly what to do. The only possible drawback to this place is the space is too small for any incoming crowds in the future. Because once people catch on, it will become overcrowded every single day. Need to get a space 4-5 times bigger soon. Or...

Very delicious and fresh sushi, great service, and friendly staff.

Entrance is a little hidden. Note, they don't really seem to have fried options on the menu, perhaps because there isn't ventalation for that, and it's an intimate and relaxing dining space.

The only critique was that the eel could be a little crispier/hotter, maybe with a small torch?

Lastly, the dessert was so good as well. I really enjoyed the black seseme ice cream and passion fruit mochi. 🥰

A wonderful dining experience overall that I...
