Swing Kitchen — Restaurant in Bern

I’ve first come across Swing Kitchen when I was in Munich and I now keep visiting their stores every time I see one on my way. Sadly, there are only 2 of them in Switzerland at the time of writing this so I really hope to see them expanding to Zurich (and other cities) soon.

The chili cheese bites are really good, as well as the tiramisu. Needless to say, the burgers are delicious too.

One point of feedback would be that they could certainly automate the order-taking process (like many other chains already did, e.g. McDonald’s, Neat Burger, etc…). Instead of having staff taking orders manually, they could just install tablets at the counter and let customers place orders themselves. It’s much easier for the customers (especially those who struggle with the language), and certainly more efficient from a business perspective (it frees up time for staff that can be used to help in the kitchen or do other things, and it eventually saves in labour costs).

I don't easily give places a 5 star! But this place deserves it 100%!

They have some of the best burgers I've had in my life. I got their cheeseburger and fish & chips;

Here are why I liked it:

1- The food was DELICIOUS and tasty! Absolutely loved it! The portion sizes are great and they fill you up! 😋

2- Super nice and friendly staff! Despite being overwhelmed and busy, still very kind and nice. 😊

3- Nice environment! It's clean and organized, and it has multiple sitting spaces that were very nice and comfortable! 🫧

4- I loved showing the amount of water, land, CO2, and animals saved by their food since their opening. I found this particularly interesting since I'm a food system and biomedical scientist. 🌍

Egg and milk cause a lot of animal suffering because all those animals are eventually killed. Male chickens and cows are also useless in egg and dairy farms so they are also killed. That's why we always eat vegan and this place is here to give you the best experience without the downsides of eating animals and its environmental destruction!

I'll be back again and will bring more colleagues!

Ich vergebe nicht so einfach 5 Sterne! Aber dieser Ort hat es zu 100 % verdient! Sie haben einige der besten Burger, die ich in meinem Leben gegessen habe. Ich habe ihren Cheeseburger und Fish & Chips bekommen; Hier sind die Gründe, warum es mir gefallen hat:

1- Das Essen war KÖSTLICH und lecker! Ich habe es absolut geliebt!

2- Super nettes und freundliches Personal! Trotz Überforderung und Hektik immer noch sehr freundlich und nett.

3- Schöne Umgebung! Es ist sauber und ordentlich und es gibt mehrere Sitzbereiche, die sehr schön und komfortabel waren!

4- Ich habe es geliebt, die Menge an Wasser, Land, CO2 und Tieren zu zeigen, die durch ihre Ernährung seit ihrer Eröffnung eingespart wurden.

Das fand ich besonders interessant, da ich Ernährungssystem- und Biomedizinwissenschaftler bin. Eier und Milch verursachen großes Leid für die Tiere, da alle diese Tiere irgendwann getötet werden.

Auch männliche Hühner und Kühe sind in Eier- und Milchviehbetrieben nutzlos und werden daher ebenfalls getötet.

Deshalb ernähren wir uns immer vegan und dieser Ort ist hier, um Ihnen das beste Erlebnis zu bieten, ohne die Nachteile des Tierverzehrs und seine Umweltzerstörung! Ich komme wieder und werde weitere Kollegen mitbringen! 100 %...

I had to figure out that this is vegan. However it clearly say chick'n. But not chicken. This is cheating on who does not know the deal. Plus they were super unfriendly and did not know their own menu. They could have told me in advance. Its fraud to me. Super unhappy.

So I took my time to come back to this review. Cuz the food was tasting actually okish, however the wrap has been microwaved to 100© celsius. Who likes steaming cucumber or letchuce? And the whole wrap was just like a mash of whatever. If i wanted this, I went to BK and it would have been better. The cole slaw was like 50% veggies and the rest salsa. The fake chicken nuggets were actually the best. Plus they forgot the hot sauce. Very sad.... Never coming back to...
