Maison Desplanches — Restaurant in Geneva

The service is bad; inadmissible if you consider how overpriced the menu is. If you're willing to pay 4.8 CHF for a coffee and 8.3 CHF for an orange juice, the bare minimum of expectations is for the whole order to arrive. Instead, they forgot part of my order (the actual food), and when they brought the rest to the table, told me it would come right after. It never did. After waiting for 15 minutes, having finished my drinks without having laid eyes on any of the 2 employees (not counting the one preparing the orders) serving a reasonably empty place, I went to pay. At the counter, I informed them part of my order did not arrive and that I wanted to leave, to which the reply was a simple non-apolgetic nod of agreement as in "we have enough customers, bye-bye". I only waited so long because I was waiting the person I was with to finish, who albeit got their whole order, was disappointed by the food. Also, the atmosphere is dark and cramped, and overall not worth it. Walk 5 minutes to Molard and you have "Auer" if you just want a sweet snack or "Le Patio by La Bonbonnière" for a coffee in a quiet place on a busy street. Walk 10 minutes to Plainpalais and you have "Aux Merveilleux de Fred", which serves the best hot drinks in the area and has superb...

I went to this place with my girlfriend and ordered 2 drinks and several dishes. Before paying I decided to check the bill as one of the desserts we ordered was not served and I noticed a strange extra charge mentioning "sandwich supplement". I asked the waitress about it and she told that there was an extra charge because I was eating a sandwich at the table and not taking it away. She assured me that there was a sign mentioning that extra charge at the entrance but when I asked to see the sign, the poor waitress was very embarrassed as she couldn't find it. I requested and got a reimbursement of that extra "sandwich supplement" charge. Moreover, my girlfriend got sick after eating a goat cheese salad that was certainly outdated. That place is expensive, the quality of the products is poor and they clearly try to rip you off with unjustifiable...

Cela fait deux ans que je n'étais pas revenue chez Gilles Desplanches et le service est malheureusement toujours aussi catastrophique, tout comme le prouvent les commentaires laissés sur Google.

Dommage, car le lieu est bien situé (Rue Confédération à Genève), cozy avec une jolie décoration...

Service très lent malgré que l'endroit était presque vide, plusieurs employés en train de discuter au bar... 15 minutes à attendre avant que la commande soit prise pour un simple café, et encore c'est à nous de faire signe.

Serveuse plus que désagréable (on a l'impression de déranger). Je commande un muffins au chocolat, cette dernière revient vers moi 10 minutes plus tard en me disant: "ils seront livrés demain" d'un ton nonchalant, sans proposer aucune autre alternative. Je demande si d'autres muffins sont disponible, cette dernière me répond: "ha non" et s'en va.

Ramequin au fromage servi sans couverts ni serviettes... on doit demander, et la encore on a l'impression de déranger. Pourtant, la même serveuse était beaucoup plus souriante et rapide en servant le patron de la Maison Desplanches qui était assis à une table en face de la mienne.

Encore une fois dommage, les produits sont bons, mais le service gâche tout: à fuir !

Vous comprenez bien qu'il ne s'agit pas ici d'une question de stock de muffins ? En effet ils sont excellents et je comprend donc pourquoi vous étiez en rupture de stock.

Il s'agit du comportement inadmissible de votre serveuse pour une maison renommée telles que Gilles Desplanches.

Au lieu d'un "ils seront livrés demain" suivi d'un "ha non...", que cette dernière à lâché d'un ton plus que désagréable en levant les yeux au ciel avant de s'en aller.... on aurait pu s'attendre à un "nous n'avons plus de muffins, je vous invite à me suivre au comptoir pour choisir un autre dessert?".

Rien de pire que d'avoir l'impression de déranger dans un établissement de service....
