I have visited the Spaghetti Factory multiple times yer year since 2001/2002. It is a favourite of mine because of the varied seasonal menu that complements the pasta standards. They source local produce (“Genève région”) as well as Italian AOP products. In terms of logistics: they accept credit cards; are open on Sundays; don’t make a fuss when you order a carafe of water; their kitchen runs all day so you can have late lunches or early dinners; and their bathrooms are clean and never run of loo roll. The terrace in summer is enjoyable and spacious.
What prompted me to write this 5 star review was the excellent service we received today. My husband and I were looking for a cafe with enough space for our pram; we asked a waiter at the Spaghetti Factory who was so friendly and welcoming, he made it seem like a breeze to get a pram into the restaurant and placed us at a table in a corner with lots of space for the pram and for us to spread out. This may not always be possible at peak meal times but it was 4 pm and we were grateful for the space. The waiter happily heated up our baby’s bottle; and was patient when we had to settle our son first before we could order.
There is a changing table outside the men’s and ladies’ bathrooms downstairs; that is probably the only downside - the changing table is down a steep flight of stairs so you have to navigate carefully with your baby in your arms and your nappy bag on your back or shoulder.
Overall, we recommend Spaghetti Factory for their menu and their welcoming approach to...
Read more03/24/24 Stopped in for something to eat during our weekend in Geneva. From the beginning it seemed that everything was fine, but they brought us the menu for more than 20 minutes, then they brought the pasta for half an hour, and they couldn’t bring us our desserts for more than 40 minutes. As a result, 3 waiters approached us and each of them did not know what we ordered. It was even more awkward ask each waiter to light a candle for dessert, but no one did, although everyone spoke English well and took our order, there was no language barrier, but our request was ignored. To pay the bill we had to catch the waitress, who was standing at the counter and fidgeting with her phone. The food is good, I don’t argue, but the attitude of the staff is just disgusting.
P.s. Thanks to the owner for rating my comment as “not valuable”. Bad comments have no value, but good ones do? It is your attitude towards clients and willingness to work that any comments have no value for you. If there were 0 stars I would give 0 because there...
Read moreThe Service!!!! Always open!!! You have a very warm welcome even if the owner is not there. You have THE Service whether they are full or not. Always very attentive to the details. Food is delicious as always have been. Must try - cheesecake. Super light even after the plate of spaghetti with good glass of wine. One of the rare places in Geneva where you have everything together. Update to make after several month. Well what to add? One of the few restaurants in Geneva open on Sunday. Among this few is even rare to be open whole day. So your stomach shouldn’t ask your watch if some food is available around 😂 They are always open, the waiters are always happy to see you, even if the owner is not around. As usual spaghetti are delicious. My husband had a salad today - it was a very large portion of fresh salad. The strongest point among the desert list is a cheese cake. It is the lightest I’ve ever tried. Good luck to you, guys! The best spaghetti...
