I recently dined here with a friend. While the overall food—both starters and mains—did not quite meet my expectations and the prices felt a bit steep, one aspect truly shined: the exceptional service provided by our waitress.
From the moment we were seated, she was friendly, helpful, and genuinely committed to making our experience pleasant. She patiently assisted us with the menu and offered thoughtful recommendations. When I found the yellow curry too spicy, she listened carefully and immediately took action by having the kitchen add coconut milk to mellow the heat, all while offering sincere apologies. Even though I still wasn’t feeling well and decided to leave without the adjusted dish, her efforts did not end there.
As I was leaving, I was pleasantly surprised to hear her calling out—I saw her running after me to personally hand over my meal! That level of dedication and care is rare and truly made my evening memorable.
While the food wasn’t quite to my taste, the outstanding service from this one waitress deserves high praise. Her commitment to customer satisfaction went above and beyond, and she certainly deserves recognition for making a challenging dining experience one...
Read moreUnique Royal Thai cuisine with superb and fresh European produce. Geneva is very lucky to have Royal Thai Cuisine for several reasons:
a) Thailand has both an ancient culture and a longstanding monarchy which combined in a distinctive Royal Thai gastronomy which was exclusively for royalty,
b) it could only be enjoyed by the general public mainly through the Benjarong Restaurants of the luxury Dusit Thani Hotel Group, and
c) the chefs of Royal Thai Cuisine were trained there before moving to Geneva with the former Patara Restaurant at the Beau Rivage Hotel.
Now with their own restaurant, they have applied the tradition of Royal Thai cuisine with the superbly fresh produce available in Europe for a unique and distintively elevated level of Thai cusine. It would be difficult to find such creations in Bangkok.
We enjoyed the Bar Entier Frit Avec Tamarin Sauce, Mangue Vert et Piment (Whole Sea Bass Fried with Tamarind Sauce, Green Mango and Chili) and the Jarret d’agneau au curry massaman (Lamb shank in massaman curry). Can’t wait to try some of the other specialities.
Read moreWent for lunch on a weekday. Ordered off the menu instead of taking plate du jour. I indulged in stir fry tofu and brown rice, and my partner, sautéed chicken with cashews and basil (tad bit pricey; pretty delicious). My stir-fry tofu was way too spicy for my taste, so make sure you warn them of your spice-tolerance level beforehand. We also ordered vegetarian spring rolls, and they were so fresh and tasty. Highly recommend as an appetizer/ entrée. Also, the mango-sticky rice is a must-have for dessert! Decoration is very beautiful and...
