We had a HORRIBLE experience today (Saturday, 19/10/2024 at around 16:15) at Guillaume Bichet at rue du Conseil General10, Geneva.
The place and the chocolates are great, but the waitress was extremely and unprofessional. My wife and I asked for a hot chocolate. We asked for it to make sure that it be appropriately truly hot. Then we got our chocolate barely lukewarm. We asked her for it to be heated in a courteous way, as it could not be otherwise. She took the cups making a face of displeasure and when she brought them back, she let them on the table it in a rude and very rough way. I have to add that she took the chocolate cups inside, out of our sight, which was totally unnecessary since the heating machine was in the shop. Retrospectively, we suspected that she perhaps manipulated our drinks --- we leave to you to imagine what she may have done... There was no need to bring the chocolate out of our sight.
Before we left we let her know that we were unhappy about the way she have treated us and she continued being rude and unprofessional. This is totally unacceptable!
If I was her employer, I would fire her immediately, since she is not qualified to treat clients in the appropriate way. What a pity to have someone like that in such a nice place.
Many thanks for...
Read moreI have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the pastry shop Guillaume Bichet in Plainpalais neighborhood in Geneva.
One of my favorite pastry shops! This location offers a full selection of pastries and chocolates, all of which look so delicious that choosing just one is nearly impossible. This time, I went for an almond dough pie filled with pear—absolutely delightful! I paired it with a ristretto, which was also excellent. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the shop itself is beautifully designed, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly...
Read moreLast sunday I bought 3 pastries and 1 canele. The canele was good, except that the bottom of it was burnt. I dont think you should have sold burnt pastries. Secondly, I decided to eat one of the pasties, the choux 2 days later and the hazelnut cream is already sour and no longer edible. I worked in a pastry shop in Paris, and if we were going to sell pastries that are going to expire, we would explicitly tell our customers. I really want to love your shop, but for almost 8chf/pastry, we expected...
