Went this evening for a burger at Bebbis. The place looks friendly and informal. The menu promises a choice of freshly made burgers. Photos look promising. I order the BokBok burger: grilled chicken with cheddar, lettuce, gherkins, and a 'homemade burger-sauce.' The food comes and... is completely tasteless. The Chicken feels like rubber in the mouth (did it have to climb the Eiger before being slaughtered?...), is covered with wilted lettuce and served in a soggy, equally tasteless lukewarm bun that has been prepared with a sickly pink sauce they call their 'homemade burger-sauce'.. Do I have to pay 20 sfr.- for this rubbish? You bet! When I make a complaint to the waitress I get a sugared reply that my feedback is valuable and will serve to further the quality of the food in the future. She looks concerned. However, her concern does not fill my stomach. Together with this abomination they call a 'BokBok-burger' come French fries and a portion of ketchup. The fries are moderate, the ketchup is the best in the menu, but if it were for that, get yourself a bottle of ketchup at the local Coop and save a few dimes... Citizens of the world and of Grindelwald, do not go to eat at Bebbis. Their so-called 'concern' for their customers is easily forgotten when another day arrives and brings them loads of fresh tourists , all of them prepared to take an innocent bite from their horrible burgers. If you want to find decent food in this price range there's plenty of choice in Grindelwald....I give them a one-star review, and that one star is for...

I had a deeply disappointing experience at Bebbis Restaurant in Grindelwald. When we requested takeout, the waiter responded rudely, asking "what takeaway?" Despite giving the benefit of the doubt that perhaps the waiter didn't speak English well, we proceeded to order a pizza for takeout, paid for it, and when the order was ready, we asked for chilli flakes on the side. The waiter claimed they didn't have takeout chilli flakes and proceeded to add an excessive amount from a bottle directly onto the pizza. Another waiter joined in, adding too much oregano, and both were making fun of it.
This behavior was not only disrespectful but also seemed racially motivated, as we come from an Indian background. It's important to note that not all individuals of Indian descent enjoy spicy food, and assuming so is not only ignorant but also offensive.
As a result of this incident, the pizza became inedible due to the overwhelming amount of spices. We were left with no choice but to discard it. Such behavior is unacceptable in any establishment and reflects poorly on the professionalism and integrity of the staff.
Considering the numerous negative reviews regarding the behavior of the waiter, it seems evident that the management is not addressing these issues. Therefore, I urge people to AVOID...
Read morewe were here during my friend’s birthday 3 weeks ago. the place was packed and we were given tables on the balcony - which is no problem, because we can see how full the place was. so we ordered and waited. while waiting for the food, the people inside were now done and slowly leaving. since it got too cold outside, we approached this tall white guy (i think he’s in-charge of the service crew, unfortunately) and asked if we could transfer inside. without batting an eyelash, he quickly dismissed our request and said that all tables are reserved, which i find weird because clearly they have an area completely dedicated for reserved tables. i observed further and noticed that new customers that came after us were given the spaces that were just vacated. so i approached another staff, this lovely female staff (i think she said she’s from nicaragua, not sure) and immediately gave us a table inside and was so nice the whole time, even the other female staff with asian features was also kind. i would have given 1 star for the whole experience, but decided to rate 2. thanks to the kind ladies who catered us, they saved you from a 1-star rating. that tall white guy was just terribly rude. we in the forefront of hospitality service needs to be composed even when we are busy — and we’re not even at all demanding and rude...
