Ate here with my family of 4 on 1/3/2025. Upon arriving Johnathon only brought us 2 menus, when we inquired about drinks he was combative about helping us understand what drinks were available. He said we can look through the menu ourselves and he would return.
After sorting out our drinks, we hitch were tasty, Cindy took our main food order. We ordered the Tomahawk Steak (medium rare) to share, Zita Au Gratin, the Langostino Tagliatelle special, Chicken Nuggets for my youngest and a Chocolate Fondue.
The steak was undercooked and very chewy/tough. The fat wasnât fully rendered. The taste was alright overall. The Zita au Gratin and Chicken Nuggets were good, The Langostino Tagliatelle was the star of the show but the portion could have been a little more full.
After waiting a considerable amount of time (20 minutes?) we finally ordered the Chocolate Fondue. It was very runny, not coating much of anything dipped in it and cold. Like room temperature. We let Cindy know of this and she took it back to the kitchen. Johnathon brought it back within just a few moments and with the same passive aggressive attitude as when we arrived said, âThe chocolate is 50 degrees, any hotter and it will burn you.â Reader, it was still room temperature and nearly as thin as water. We ate the dippers straight up but left feeling unwelcome and disappointed overall.
Save your money and avoid this spot. We will not return on our future trips to...
Read moreAn unforgettable dining experience. We had the pleasure of enjoying a dinner for two at Petit Glacier, and it was truly exceptional from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The service was impeccable â attentive, professional, and genuinely kind without ever feeling intrusive.
Our meal was a delight: beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly prepared with great care and high-quality ingredients. Each course exceeded our expectations, turning a simple dinner into a memorable culinary experience.
And of course, the views are simply breathtaking. Surrounded by the majestic landscape of Grindelwald, dining here feels like a perfect harmony between nature and refinement.
Petit Glacier is not just a place to eat â itâs a place where everything is thoughtfully crafted to create a unique and enriching moment. Highly...
Read moreI had dinner at the Petit Glacier and honestly, it was one of those evenings where everything just felt right. The terrace offers beautiful mountain views, peaceful atmosphere, and just the perfect place to slow down and enjoy good food.
What really made me happy though was how kind and attentive the staff were. They made me feel totally welcome from the first minute. Iâm vegan, which can make eating out a bit stressful sometimes, but not here. They really knew their stuff about dietary needs and made sure I had proper, tasty options, while my family got to enjoy their own (non-vegan) meals too. Everyone left happy and full. Ps: the Mocktails were...
