Restaurant Central Wolter — Restaurant in Grindelwald

The sirloin I ordered medium rare was well done. No pink on it at all. My wife's sausage was okay but that is hard to mess up. The potatoes were undercooked. The meal was 60 USD for a 7oz sirloin that was advertised as locally sourced and high quality. I have had better steaks at Texas roadhouse as it was very tough and they only gave me a butter knife to cut into it. Service was okay but they asked for a tip after including a service charge. Also we were charged for mineral water when we only had tap. The beer was good and the location was good as it had a great view but there were flies everywhere as others have mentioned.

Also I planned on sending the steaks back but the waitress waited over 30 minutes to come back to check on us and by that time we didn't have time to...

The food was fabulous! I didn't know what to expect because it didn't have good reviews. We initially went to another restaurant next door which had better reviews. The food was decent at that restaurant. Later in the day, we came to this restaurant (Central Wolter). The food was amazing. The beef tartar was incredible and so was the asparagus soup. The apple strudel was delicious. The service was also fabulous. Our waitress, Susanne, was super friendly and VERY attentive. I would definitely...

What an amazing experience! We originally tried the place down the street because it had more stars, but after being ignored there, we came here—and we’re so glad we did! The waitress was incredibly sweet, and the service made us feel like queens.

We sat outside, enjoyed dishes from the asparagus menu (so delicious!), had a perfectly paired white wine, and finished with a warm, decadent brownie for dessert. Everything—from the food to the atmosphere—was just perfect....
