In our recent visit to Lausanne, my friends and I had a disappointing experience with this restaurant. We arrived there at 13:00 and it took 20 minutes for our orders to be taken. After almost one hour (at 14:15) and while we were still waiting for our drinks, we were informed that the kitchen closes at 14:00 and we can only have Fondue which I didn’t like and didn’t order in the first place. So, we decided to leave and find another place. Surprisingly there were people who arrived there after us, ordered and received the same dish as I ordered earlier! I understand that mistake happens, but the way they handled the situation was not professional. The waiter initially told us they are out of fish (the dish of the day) and when I wanted to order something else, he changed his narrative to the kitchen closes at 14:00. Read moreTOURISTS AVOID - We were served by a bald Portuguese waiter who said he only spoke French and humiliated us. This was our first time in Lausanne. I don't speak French. After a whole day of sightseeing, we were tired and just wanted to have fondue for dinner. I asked if he spoke english. He said no and wanted me to communicate only in French. Then he made fun of me and continued to annoy us. We didn't get up and leave because it was late and we didn't know if we would find another restaurant, not to mention the tiredness of the day. I ask: why treat tourists like this? What does this employee gain from this? Put yourself in the shoes of someone who doesn't speak the language, is in a foreign country, tired, hungry and just wants to have a nice dinner with their family. Terrible...
Read moreStraight up great!! We went there without reservation on Sunday and we got lucky as they filled up very fast. Amazing staff ! Carlos is well seasoned waiter that knows what he is doing..very funny , extremely professional and entertaining even though you can tell lads were exhausted after the weekend. We had truffle fondue and beer.. ..and it was DELICIOUS!! Then armagnac was beautiful ...After dinner staff gave us comp shot and Landi, barman, was a brilliant host chatting in multiple languages. He has artifacts from all countries...it was awesome. I cannot praise this establishment enough mostly because staff but food delicious and very decent portions for a reasonable price.
