OFFICINE — Restaurant in Lausanne

Very nice and cozy place, the waiters and waitresses are very open and fun with everyone. Overall the service is very good, and I can say that amongst many bars in Lausanne, « Officine » is the friendliest one. Usually waiters in Lausanne are kind of rude/not very friendly, however in this bar I found that most, if not all of the waiters are very kind, even if they’re very busy. The prices are average for Lausanne. Other than their amazing 3CHF fries, I haven’t tried any of their food so I cannot comment on that. The only downside I can think of is that when they’re busy (usually on Friday and Saturday nights) they tend to forget to take your orders etc.. but it doesn’t really bother me personnally because I know it’s not like they do it on purpose. Usually when the waiters see that you’ve been waiting for a while they apologize and immediately take your order. Overall I would really recommend this place, especially for having a drink...

It's Switzerland, so I know prices are higher than my average meals in France, but 107 euros for a spritz, a tuna carpaccio, a pan fried chicken, and roasted pork with a glazed sauce is indeed out of the ordinary.

The food was good, no doubt, but I cannot really make out how it could be so expensive.

The service was fast and done with as much courtesy as you would expect.

The environment is a sort of mix between a disco —considering the loud music-- and a pub. On the second floor, where we ate, the music was still so loud, but at least you can afford a conversation in the huge space available that, to a degree, looks more like a kind of big living room.

sophiepE391PE 811 Avis en attente N'importe quoi !!! Lorsque tu réserves pour 20, que tu as les mails de confirmation et qu'à l'arrivée on te dit "ah ben non, je n'étais pas au courant". C'est la mésaventure qu'il nous est arrivé dans ce restaurant. Mon collègue avait réservé une table pour l'apéritif sur la terrasse afin de fêter son mariage. Il est arrivé par chance 15 min avant le début des festivités ce qui a permis de remettre la situation plus ou moins en ordre. Il a été accueilli par une serveuse des plus antipathique qui n'a même pas admis l'erreur et s'est permise de lui dire qu'elle ne savait pas si cela serait possible de faire le nécessaire. Après tractations, nous avons pu enfin nous installer sur la terrasse et commander les boissons et quelques planchettes de charcuterie (nous avons eu beaucoup de chance car selon toujours la même serveuse, la cuisine n'était pas ouverte à cette heure-là). Au moment de partir et de régler l'addition qui n'était pas de Fr. 2,50 ;-), la même serveuse est revenue à la charge pour dire à mon collègue qu'il avait été agressif et qu'elle n'avait pas apprécié ce qui l'a un peu énervé ! Mais de qui se moque-t-on ???!! Je vous laisse imaginer votre état lorsque vous invitez 20 personnes à partager un moment convivial et qu'à l'arrivée rien n'est prêt, n'y a-t-il pas de raisons d'être fâché ?? et en plus, on vous fait encore une remarque au moment de quitter les lieux ! Je tiens à signaler qu'aucun geste commercial n'a été fait !! BRAVO à l'Officine, hier soir vous avez perdu 20 clients qui ne remettrons plus les pieds dans votre restaurant !! mais peut-être n'en avez-vous pas besoin...
