During our recent visit to Leonardo in Lausanne, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The staff welcomed us warmly, creating a friendly and inviting atmosphere from the outset. Their attentive service ensured that all our needs were met promptly and with genuine care.
The menu offers a delightful array of Italian dishes, and our selections were nothing short of delicious. The pizzas, in particular, stood out with their authentic flavours and perfect crusts. It’s evident that high-quality ingredients are a priority here.
The ambiance of the restaurant is both modern and cosy, making it an ideal spot for various occasions, whether a casual meal or a special celebration. We appreciated the attention to detail in both the decor and the presentation of the dishes.
Overall, everything went smoothly, and we left with a strong desire to return. For those seeking a combination of friendly service, delectable food, and a pleasant atmosphere in Lausanne, Leonardo is...
Read moreThe good: Food is Excellent! Presentation is amazing! fresh and tasty. Simply Delicious.!The fresh juices are always good. Prices are average for Lausanne. Nice Atmosphere. So the Kitchen knows what they are doing! Our Kudos to the chef and the cooks! The unacceptabe (not bad - but horrible) : Upon arriving, the waiters sat us down and disappeared. We had to wait 35 minutes! for anyone to come and take an order for drinks and food.. Total waiting time before we could eat or drink something over 1 hour. When we got our drinks, the order was wrong...After the starters, the dirty plates were an eyesore for 20 minutes! Now, i don't want to be too harsh, but If there was one waiter working I would totally understand.. On contrary there were 4 waiters and half the seating was empty.. If you are hungry - and want to catch something to eat - go elsewhere......

Nevertheless, despite the more than 300chf spent in food and in drinks, we were refused to have glass of tap water, because "the pizzas" were less expensive. I think it would be a good commercial improvement to offer water, especially during hot summer. We could not even pay for it, it was just not an option. I saw in the other comments that it's quite recurrent. Also, if you want to share a pizza, you have to pay 5chf more, for the same pizza. It was the first time I saw this.
It was also difficult to be understood by the waitress, because she was not fluent in French or English.
Despite the negative points written above, we had a great evening and we...
