Mega Pizza Kebab — Restaurant in Lucerne

I mostly come here when walking along the lake with the dog. Location is really just across the road from the lake, near the Schweizerhof Hotel and the Hofkirche. There are special lunch deals for students...not for me though...I'm a bit too old for that :)

You can get combos or just order single items. There are of course the Kebab variations: original with the thick bread, wrapped in flatbread or served on plates. Besides that you can order Schnitzel, Nuggets, Cordon Bleu, fries, sandwiches, fried fish, falafel, salad, Halloumi, Hot Dogs, Burgers and a variety of pizze.

But I always go for the Kebab wrapped in Flatbread. The amount of meat is generous and its quality high...100% beef. Fresh and crunchy veggies inside, choose what you like. Regular or spicy sauce (for me it's got to be the spicy one).

At 9.- it is a very fair price, especially given the size of it. Grab some water or a soda with. Or a beer if you like. Staff here is nice and friendly. The place gets busy around lunchtime, when the students from the surrounding schools show up. So avoid showing up between 11.45 - 12.30. Ingredients are all of good quality and everything is prepared freshly. Been here many times and never been disappointed. One of the best Kebabs...

My experience at Mega Pizza and Kebab in Luzern fell short of expectations. My husband and I were really looking forward to ordering some lamb kebab, but to our dismay, it was mixed with beef.

I decided to go for the halloumi teller, assuming it would come with a wrap. However, all I got was a few dry pieces of halloumi with a side of dry salad mostly lettuce. The staff didn't bother to mention that it didn't include the wrap, and their lack of interest in serving us was palpable.

Furthermore, the meal came without any sauce, making it feel like I paid CHF 14 for a handful of fried halloumi. We even asked if we could add some cheese fondue to our order, and they agreed. But when we got home and opened our takeout box, there was no sign of the cheese.

Overall, I left Mega Pizza and Kebab feeling dissatisfied with both the service and the food. I wouldn't recommend...

Very tasty food and good prices compared to some of the other restaurants around. Have had 2 meals there consisting of chicken burger, falafel kebap and a chicken shnitzel and fries. Don't know what the other reviews are about, I paid with card both times due to not having the local currency no problems. Despite some language issues, the guys behind the counter were friendly enough and professional. The burger was excellent, big, juicy and hit the spot. The falafel is worthy of a mention as well. I think the secret might be the sauces they use. I would eat there...
