Lucerne Culture and Congress Centre — Attraction in Lucerne

We visited the show today (11.12.2022) in KKL. The theater starts with the people welcoming you in. Sadly that in this case it was not exactly a welcome. There were two people standing at the doors and the lady “greeted us” by saying „you are seriously late“ (we had still 4 minutes before the show, and it was not our intention, we left for the theater 90 minutes in advance). We are a serous concert and Theater goes but have never experienced anything like that before. When we were entering the lift she was making faces and said to her male colleague that we were “scheissspät“. We have paid for the concert, that was supposed to be a birthday treat. We did not pay for the lecture, we also did not pay for the opinion, arrogance and the attitude of that “lady”. By leaving I wanted to ask her colleague to give me her name, but we decided not to ruin the evening even more. Reading the reviews, I couldn’t help but noticed that it is not the first and only accident with rude and unfriendly customer attitude.

Now to the building. The hall inside, in spite being modern, looks like an old school gym. Maybe for some it would be appealing, but for me personally it lacked the details and „Theater vibe“. Sound is good but the seating arrangements are unsuccessful, if you want to buy the tickets, better be in the central part.

We were unlucky to buy the tickets at the 4 floor, balcony. First part I was dead with panic because it feels crazily unsafe. And again by reading the comments, I saw that I am not the only one to have the same emotions about those seats. To be fair, KKL in reply to one of the comments raising the safety issues reassured that it passed safety standards but oh, god, it is still pretty scary. Now to the view. It is very disrespectful to sell the tickets to those places, as the visitor should have a possibility to see and have a view from every seat: Somewher better, somewhere worse (but the whole stage). If you stretch your neck to the side like a giraffe, you would see something. If you are a practicing yoga instructor, you would bend a bit more and see the 50%_60 % of the stage. The idea is to come and enjoy, relax and feel the magic of the sound. To feel COMFORTABLE. I surely did not feel myself that way tonight.

My time in lucerne was amazing. I went there because i was hiking in the alps and lucerne was the ladt station. It was very hard and there were many rogue cows and eagles and birds and such animals but i didnt need to fear as i was in safe hands with the swiss cuisine. All of the food tasted to delicious and good. I like a dish where there were noodles with meat and aple mash. Tasted feliciously good and i just cant describe the taste of itm anyway back to lucerne. Its a very rich but tourosty area i found many chinese people who make foto of everything even broken bottle on the floor That always reminds me of chinese rap but thats good because it makes me funny feeling ha ha ha ha ha ok back to lucerne. Ita very expenaive so bring many moneys as i only brought 20 euro i could only afford a coke and then nearly all of my monry was gone so yes its an expensove placed but what did you expect if you book a flight there? Oh and just for your information i sodnt fly to lucernw but i tool a long train ride using the t g v in france and from moilhouse to some crazy place where 1 burger without anything cost 15 euro but this was my review i hope you like it and you can find yourself in the hopes and dreams of...

KKL Luzern: Ein Ort voller Klang – mit Einschränkungen bei der Sicht

Ich durfte das KKL Luzern bereits zum dritten Mal für eine Filmvorstellung mit Orchesterbegleitung besuchen. Während zwei meiner Besuche (für "Top Gun" und "Home Alone") absolut sensationell waren und ich uneingeschränkt begeistert war, gab es bei der jüngsten "Harry Potter"-Vorstellung leider erhebliche Mängel, die zu einem frühzeitigen Verlassen führten.

Beginnen wir mit den vielen positiven Aspekten, die das KKL zu einem herausragenden Veranstaltungsort machen: Die Akustik ist schlichtweg phänomenal. Das Orchester ist in seiner Brillanz und Lautstärke stets perfekt hörbar – ein wahrer Genuss für die Ohren. Auch das Personal verdient ein grosses Lob: Es ist stets sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Platzanweisung ist exzellent organisiert, und die Arena selbst ist optisch sehr ansprechend und modern gestaltet. Sauberkeit wird grossgeschrieben, und es gibt ausreichend Garderoben, Abgabemöglichkeiten und Toiletten. Das Getränkesortiment ist zudem mehr als ausreichend und bietet eine gute Auswahl.

Leider gibt es jedoch einen massiven negativen Punkt, der das Gesamterlebnis stark trüben kann, insbesondere wenn man nicht die teuersten Plätze bucht: die Sichtbehinderung auf den Seitenplätzen, insbesondere in den oberen Etagen (dritter oder vierter Stock). Mir ist bewusst, dass Seitenplätze naturgemäss nicht die beste Sicht bieten. Jedoch ist die Online-Sitzplatzdarstellung mit der grafischen "Sitz view"-Funktion absolut irreführend. Dort wird keinerlei Geländer oder Sichtfeldbeeinträchtigung dargestellt, was suggeriert, dass die Sicht noch zumutbar wäre. In Wahrheit ist dies jedoch überhaupt nicht der Fall. Von diesen Plätzen aus sind mindestens zwei Fünftel der Leinwand und des Orchesters nicht sichtbar. Hinzu kommt, dass das verbleibende Blickfeld extrem durch Geländerstangen gestört wird, die mitten durch das Bild gehen. Für den Preis, den man für diese Plätze bezahlt, ist dies absolut unzumutbar. Das war bei der "Harry Potter"-Vorstellung so gravierend, dass wir die Halle zur Hälfte der Vorstellung frustriert verlassen haben.

Ein weiterer kleinerer Kritikpunkt betrifft die Auswahl und Qualität der Snacks. Die Sandwiches waren nicht besonders gut und ziemlich überteuert. Hier könnte das Angebot sicherlich verbessert werden, um den Gesamteindruck abzurunden.

Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass das KKL Luzern in Bezug auf Akustik, Personal und generelle Sauberkeit und Ausstattung wirklich erstklassig ist. Die Erfahrung kann jedoch massgeblich durch die Qualität des Sitzplatzes beeinflusst werden. Ich würde dringend empfehlen, bei der Buchung auf die Sichtverhältnisse zu achten und im Zweifelsfall lieber etwas mehr für einen zentralen Platz auszugeben, um das beeindruckende Gesamterlebnis voll...
