I have been to this restaurant so many times and I can confidently recommend this place. They have the best Korean food I tasted in Switzerland and definitely closest to local Korean food. One of my favorite dishses is the Rosé tteokbokki a delight (even tastes better than some local franchises in Korea). The samgyeopsal (Korean Barbecue) is always fresh and comes with all the side dishes and sauce needed. The bibimbap is also a signature! It is served a lot of ingredients, gives choice in the type of meat, and the sauce is amazing. Additionally, new menus and seasonal menus are constantly updated. Not only the taste but the plating is also gorgeous, varying according to the dish we order. For people who enjoy taking pictures this is the perfect place. I could tell all dishes were prepared with great care and the ingredients were very high quality. Above that, there is also a huge variety of food, some I know definitely takes a lot of time and skills to get it right, and the chef always gets it perfectly. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming ambience. The waitor and owners are lovely and helps us have a great time. I always have a wonderful time when visiting dotori. Such a shame it is now so popular it is difficult to get seats on weekends, but I guess that proves how...
Read moreThe first time I visited I was shocked at the price of having to pay 70chf for the kimchi army soup (budae jjigae) for two people considering the amount. But food itself was good and the service was great.
And the second time I visited, they were having a Chimaek day from which we saw from their instagram page that said we have to reserve. So my korean friends and I were excited about this event and reserved online and traveled from lausanne to try it. We were faced with huge disappointment as when we arrived and ordered, they told us that we should have DM’d them or called specifically asking for fried chicken a day in advance. This was not how they communicated on their instagram. We hoped the staff would at least try to compensate us in some way (free beers? Or offer a reservation for chimaek the next day at least) for their mistake but told us it was our fault. As a korean, I would try and support korean businesses in Switzerland but this was the worst service ever. Sorry to say we will never be...
Read moreIve always wanted a Korean restaurant close to my place and finally one opens next door. The place is adorable and the owners are so nice. It had to be perfect. But it wasn't. I tried several times because I really wanted to give them a chance but after having tried 70% of the menu here is my review: I've never been to a Korean restaurant so expensive yet the portions are extremely small and don't even taste good. Most of the plates seems to be instant food (yes these are good but it cost 1$ for the same at home) and the "homemade" ones are either tasteless or overcooked. The plates to shares are the worst when it comes to size, taste and price. Therefore, against my will, and with so much disappointment I DONT recommend that place to anyone used to K Food or who wants to discover it. Not good. Way way way...
