My recent stay at the Fairmont Montreux Palace was nothing short of extraordinary, and I am thrilled to share my glowing review. From the moment I arrived, every staff member went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was nothing short of perfection. Nestled in the picturesque town of Montreux, Switzerland, the Fairmont Montreux Palace stands as a beacon of luxury and elegance. From the grandeur of its architecture to the warmth of its hospitality, this iconic hotel surpassed all expectations and quickly became the highlight of my time in Switzerland. Every interaction with the staff at Fairmont Montreux Palace was marked by professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth. From the concierge who greeted me upon arrival to the housekeeping staff who ensured that every detail of my room was immaculate, each member of the team contributed to an unparalleled level of service that made me feel truly valued and appreciated. As for the accommodations, they were nothing short of magnificent. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and boasted stunning views of Lake Geneva and the surrounding Alps. The attention to detail in the room's design, coupled with the luxurious amenities provided, created a sanctuary of comfort and relaxation that exceeded all expectations. The culinary offerings at Fairmont Montreux Palace were equally exceptional. Whether indulging in a gourmet meal at one of the hotel's exquisite restaurants or savoring a cocktail at the elegant bar, every dining experience was a culinary delight. The quality of the cuisine, paired with the impeccable service, made each meal a memorable occasion. I must also commend Michael Smithuis, the General Manager during my visit, for his exemplary leadership and dedication to ensuring the highest standards of hospitality. Under his guidance, Fairmont Montreux Palace truly shines as a beacon of excellence in the world of luxury hospitality. There were multiple instances where I needed assistance and his team did not hesitate to assist me- be it printing, recommending jazz scenes, shopping, or translating. I looked forward to seeing them each day. My visit at the Fairmont Montreux Palace was an unforgettable experience that exceeded all expectations. From the exceptional service to the luxurious accommodations, every aspect of my time at this magnificent hotel was nothing short of perfection. I cannot recommend Fairmont Montreux Palace highly enough, and it will always hold a special place in my heart as my favorite place to stay in Switzerland. If you are considering booking, don't hesitate!

Beautiful setting for a Sunday Brunch, hard to find a better place to be on any day than Montreux, Switzerland. Giant sized dining room for this heavily attended event on a Sunday, including children running amuck at this upscale hotel and venue. Had to wait about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table to take drink order, for a fancy brunch there were no mimosas, no cocktails, bloody Mary’s or champagne. Glasses of wine started at 20 Swiss Francs or a bottle of Moet 130 SF, went with the Moet. Waiter service was rather discombobulated and disorganized, one waitress was seem opening a bottle of champagne incorrectly and hit a disorderly kid in the head, fortunately he was fine and they all get a big laugh out of it. Once we were settled down and the wackiness was out of the way we headed to vast buffet, it did not disappoint. Our senses were assaulted by stations of fois gras, salads, all types of seafood, beef tenderloin, pasta and risotto stations, massive variety of french and swiss cheeses, an array of different breads and fruits and what else am I forgetting. All very fresh and well prepared. The dessert station was an entire room devoted to Swiss and French goodness, chocolates, bon bons, crème brûlée, macaroons, ice cream with all kinds of accompanyments, and of course a fountain of free flowing Swiss chocolate. It goes without saying you will eat very well here, your waist will not be shrinking but your wallet will especially if you start hitting the bottles of wine and champagne.

The Fairmont Hotel (Fairmont Le Montreux Palace) is a beautiful classic hotel located across the street from the magical lakefront/mountain view that is the heart of this famous Swiss town. Absolutely the best possible location for the famous jazz festival and actually spans additional buildings and restaurants in the area. As the host hotel of the Montreux Jazz Festival, we loved coming back to our room at the end of each exhausting yet exhilarating day. First class concierge and 5 star staff. 2nd floor has breakfast buffet that was slightly cold upon our arrival but there was only 20 minutes left. Slightly disappointing but I did enjoy the homemade muesli. The lobby has an opening to a small bar that centers around a unique firepit and cosy seating. That room continues to the Jazz cafe that has great food and awesome live music. We enjoyed the rum baba for dessert with a liquid syringe of rum stuck in the cake. Music was a high energy band and the place was packed. If attending the Jazz Festival, you don't want to be anywhere else but be prepared for an extravagant price tag. Outside of the festival dates you will find a more reasonable rate.

Most certainly disappointing. This hotel has incredible potential (a great location, fantastic historical building, amazing city) yet is not being cared for. The service is ok at best - I found the reception staff to be snobby and quite rude. But the concierge was attentive, polite, and gave good recommendations. I didn’t manage to get any sleep on the weekend I stayed due to noise leakage from the nightclub below - when I eventually called reception at 4am they simply said ‘don’t worry it will stop in 30 minutes’ with a blatant disregard for the fact that my nights sleep had been ruined (this was supposed to be a relaxing weekend for me). The room itself was fine - although it clearly has not been cared for. There are marks all over the walls and stains on the tables. The slippers and gowns given in the room are bland, unbranded, and as expected in a four star hotel. Overall this hotel gives off the snobby impression that it is a fantastic 5 star yet it has all the characteristics of a mediocre 4 star. For the money, I’m disappointed.

This was the most luxurious place my wife and I have ever been, it was breathtaking. The view, the food, the wine, the service everything was amazing. The temperature was amazing we slept with our window open and just closed the metal blind and woke up each morning to the sound of chirping birds, once daylight broke the view of the mountain was the best. I do have 1 question (hopefully it gets answered lol) I was hooked on the nespresso machine we had in our room, unfortunately I did not take a picture of the espresso cups that were in the room, i especially loved the medium (green) cup the flavor was extraordinary, to the point I came home and bought a machine but have been unsuccessful in finding the coffee they used there. Any idea if anyone knows I would really appreciate it a lot if they post a picture or tell me the brand or something. Thank you. Fairmont Hotel my wife will never forget this experience.

We recently had the privilege of capturing a wedding at Montreux Palace as a wedding photographer team, and we must say it was an incredible experience. The staff at Montreux Palace were truly outstanding with their service. Every aspect of the wedding was arranged perfectly and with great attention to detail, making it an unforgettable day for the happy couple. The highlight of the venue has to be the stunning garden with its breathtaking views of the mountains. It was the perfect setting for the ceremony and provided a magical backdrop for the special moments we captured. We would highly recommend Montreux Palace to anyone looking for a wedding venue in Switzerland. The combination of the stunning scenery and the exceptional service makes it an unforgettable experience. Thank you, Montreux Palace, for making our job as photographers that much easier and for being a part of such a special day.
