Even though the restaurant has a rather good rating, ideal location and ambience, we had the most rude and unfriendly service that day.
Firstly, we booked a table on the website, which said it was already open in the later morning. Arriving after 11am, hoping to get a coffee, one guy rudely told us that he's not opened and doesn't care what was written in our online booking.
Giving it another chance, arrived around 1pm for lunch. After waiting for at least 40 minutes, I received the wrong order. As the other (6!) people received the correct menu, I decided to keep the one they mistakenly brought to the table - wouldn't make sense to waste the food as well. They did not inform at that point, that this menu was much more expensive.
In the end, they charged the food which was mistakenly brought and absolutely insisted, that I have to pay this, instead the one I initially ordered. This was fine for me, as I agreed to take the wrong order - but the way they insisted and blamed me for their mistake was absolutely unacceptable. They did not even apologise.
Next time just bring the correct orders or inform the customer, if the wrong order is much more expensive or will be changed on the bill. Revise your booking platform and update the opening hours. And lastly - train your staff about good customer service. The whole experience/mistakes would not have been as bad if the staff wasn't unacceptably rude and annoyed. Not...
Read moreExceptionally rude and aggressive service! We spent an evening with 6 adults, though the food was good, our waiter was unspeakably rude, dismissive and immature. I had specifically requested a wheat free sole fish, which came coated with wheat. After eating 1/4 of the dish I realized that some parts were unusually crunchy (from a wheat coating I thought), and asked again, at that time another waiter. He did not understand the English word:“ wheat“, so his colleague, our original waiter came by and translated „farina“ - the Italian word for wheat. The second waiter said something along the lines that the fish definitely contained wheat, and I heard the first waiter, tell the second one - in Italian - to stand down as I do not eat wheat, probably to hide his own mistake. Then the first waiter very rudely told, almost yelled at me; that I had not requested gluten free/wheat free food when I ordered, though I explicitly did, twice in fact. He did not apologize once. I am celiac since 7 years now, I clearly know how to communicate my dietary restrictions. The tip of the iceberg was, that they tried double charging the fish dish. We then asked to have it taken off the bill, to which the second waiter agreed. I don’t recommend anyone looking for a normal (not even top quality) service quality...
Read moreWanted to find a family restaurant close to our hotel. Our experience was based on our early reservation, so it was still quiet - but wow wow wow. The food was amazing and the employees were so friendly and welcoming. They greeted us warmly and took such great care of us while we dined.
My almost 3-year old devoured his mini pizza (that’s saying a lot for this age), my husband also had a mushroom and ham pizza that he loved, and I had the Linguini alla vongole (the lemon and chili oil that the pasta is tossed in makes it in my opinion). My husband and I also shared the Bruschetta trio. My favorite one was the mushroom topped bruschetta, but they were all flavorful.
5 stars for everything. Convenient location ✅ great atmosphere ✅ Wonderful service ✅ family friendly ✅ delicious food ✅ price point for quality ✅
