La Coupole-Matsuhisa — Restaurant in Sankt Moritz

We went in with high expectation, but the food was so bad we thought that this is a prank. First, edamame arrives that were not properly boiled, hard to get out of shell. All the food was very average - if it would cost 10€ per portion, I would not complain. But having a 50€ per portion for this is not normal. Baby spinach salad is simply salad from the pack mixed with some oil, lemon and vinegar. Maki sushi were the basic ones possible - rice and bit of fish in a nori leaf, messy appearance of the rolls. Tacos - fritted pastry with dry chicken.

Overall - lowest price performace ratio ever.

If you want Asian, our suggestion is try the nearby Hato which was much better. St Moritz has many more nicer places, where you will get much...

4.5 Absolutely fantastic service, extremely attentive and kind. Food is very, bery good: jalapeño sashimi, rock shrimp, chilean seabass and toro sashimi 5/5. almost difficult to get in a higher quality. Unfortunately also difficult to get in a higher price (extremely expensive everything, even for St. Moritz). Desserts (motchi and passion fruit creme brûlée a clear 5/5 - amazing.

Where I was disappointed- especially price vs. what you get are the cut sushi rolls. 3.5/5 they are very good (qualitywise) but in the same time boring and without soy sauce not that pleasuring. At a price of almost 45 chf for 6 pcs I expect a lot more.

The food was phenomenal, but when asking for recommendations and allowing the staff to bring the alternatives they had for the recommendations she made, she took it upon herself to bring us the 7 most expensive dishes in the menu. It seemed somewhat abusive, although it was absolutely delightful food. It just seems like too much of a coincidence that her recommendations were not available, yet her alternatives were exactly the most expensive. I would have been okay if the recommendations were those seven dishes, but like this it feels a...
