Al Mouchtar - Winterthur — Restaurant in Winterthur

I ordered the exact same thing as a friend who payed 9.- literally a couple of seconds before I ordered. I even said „for me the exact same thing“.

For some reason the guy at the counter then wanted 10.- from me and didn’t understand anything I asked (English or German) as to why mine would cost more… after a couple tries I just gave up. Should’ve turned around then tbh

We then waited a good while even though the place was quite empty. The food was actually good though which is why it gets the 3 stars but I won’t return.

Great food for affordable prices (don't get me wrong), but you can expect to either wait a good little while, have your order messed up or have it forgotten altogether. Even worse, I've tried ordering online through eat.ch 3 times and I managed to receive an order once, and even then, there was a huge delay so everything ended up all mushy and gross.

Recommended if you catch a time where it's not too busy (12:00-12:45 is off limits, go figure), but otherwise, be prepared to wait and make sure to repeat your exact order while they're...
