Action: You roll up, grab your burger, and you’re on your way, 'cause let’s be real—who's sticking around the main station for longer than it takes to hop on the next train? Exactly.
The beauty of Action Burger is in the simplicity: no frills, just straight-up quality. The beef? Top-tier, like it was raised on the Swiss Alps, massaged by the finest yodelers. And the buns? Oh, those fresh beauties from John Baker - probably Handcrafted by John Baker himself, with the kind of precision that Swiss people put into watches, or how seriously they take their Zvieri. It’s a burger that makes you pause and think, “Why aren’t all burgers made like this?” You take one bite, and the world outside melts away like raclette on a cold winter night. Herrlich!
But let's get real. You’re not staying there to eat this burger. Nah, you’re grabbing it to go, like a boss, and finding the perfect spot in Zurich to make everyone around you jealous. Maybe you take it to the park at the Landesmuseum, chill under a tree, watch the tourists try and figure out how trams work. Or level up, hop on the Limmatschiff – nothing says “I’m winning at life” like eating this burger while cruising down the river. Epic.
And if you really wanna flex? Head to the Lindenhof, grab a seat between the selfie-stick crowd, and just let them watch as you devour this burger with the best view of Zurich’s old town. Schläck Bobby! It’s a win-win situation — no matter where you eat this burger, once it’s in your hands, you’re already winning.

Read moreIf you are traveling with limited time, Action Burger is worth a visit (and a much better alternative to the Burger King nearby) Staff speaks Swiss German and English as well.
-- Now keep in mind, it is a Fastfood place, so don't expect a gourmand burger. Keep that in mind. That said, the hamburger has a fantastic taste, nicely flavourful (perhaps made in-house) and it was amazingly cooked. The vegetables like cucumber were realm fresh (despite already being evening). Only the bun felt a bit averag, but far from bad.
The waiting time was short. Probably between 5-8 minutes, perfect if you have to catch the next train.
Staff was really nice and warm. Personally I spoke Swiss German with them, but overheard them speaking in English without problem.
After 12 hours of traveling with the bus, I was really happy to bite into such a delicious burger. Honestly would have loved to get a second one - but unfortunately the train...

Team/Guys were really friendly and positive.
I got regular combo(the only one). I have really big experience working with smashed burgers, what can I say: No vegetables - it’s a pity. Pickles are ok, but not the best I have had. Onions - I didn’t feel them at all(either it wasn’t much, or smth was wrong). No salad, no tomatoes… Patty was good, juicy, the right amount. Actually, I didn’t notice if there was any cheese. Bun - it was fresh, I’m sure some bakery makes this buns for them, but it tastes like the cheapest bun from store.
Fries - nothing special. Yes, they are crispy, but the taste is pale.
Limo - good ginger/lemon homemade(I hope) lemonade.
And I would say, that 24chf is a little too much for what you get.
I’d like to give Action Burger a second chance, but only if they...
