My wife and I recently visited the Läderach factory in Bilten, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had—thanks to the incredible hospitality of Eva and Sabrina.
From the moment we walked in, Eva welcomed us at reception with such warmth and kindness that we immediately felt at home. Her friendly demeanor and professionalism set the perfect tone for our visit. She made sure we had everything we needed, creating a fantastic first impression that stayed with us throughout the tour.
Once we started the tour, Sabrina took over and made the experience even more special. Her passion for chocolate-making was evident in every detail she shared, making the process both educational and engaging. She took the time to answer our questions, added personal touches to the experience, and made sure we felt completely immersed in the magic of Läderach chocolate.
What was meant to be just a simple visit turned into a truly unforgettable day, filled with warmth, knowledge, and genuine hospitality. Thanks to Eva and Sabrina, this memory will stay with us forever, and we’re already planning to return—this time with our entire family!
A heartfelt thank you to both of them for making our visit so exceptional. We can’t wait to come...

Only major complaint is when I buy assorted chocolates I don’t have a catalog with pictures to know ahead of time what I’m about to choose from my Läderach 72 piece chocolate assortments. I use a third party catalog of a chocolatier broker that imports from a variety of gourmet chocolate makers around the world, however not all the Läderach chocolates are depicted in their catalog and the catalog is outdated.
I don’t need that much mystery, the taste is mystifying enough.
I have tasted many fine chocolates, from a number of chocolatiers around the world, can’t say I have a favorite but Läderach does not disappoint. Some of the limited edition chocolates are also quite impressive.
I have my own preferences and Läderach offers a sufficient variety to cater to those who prefer fruity chocolates, pralines, truffles, nutty, dark, simple or complex layering of flavors, spices...
Read moreWe were looking forward to buy chocolate from Läderach but we were upset to receive one poor service and bad attitude from one particular staff at the cashier ( one Black/African looking young lady) from this store nearby Zurich train station. After payment she didn't even bother to offer paper bags for the chocolates that we bought. She simply pushes the chocolates towards me after I made the payment. No words, no smiles and no thank you from her. I thanked her and she just stared back blankly and coldly. But the case is not true for other customers she served. All smiles were on her when attending to customers before and after us and putting chocolates into bags. She seems to be unwilling and very unhappy to serve Asian customers. Never go to this store again. This happen in the evening of 27 Sep 22 between...
