The McDonalds of Kebap!
I don't understand how this place has such a good rating. The quality is mediocre and the personel is rude.
Point 1: No kebap place can have more than 4 stars rating without having real meat. This place has the standard "salami style" kebap, where you don't know what is inside. I took the standard price (11.5 chf for a doner or box), they also had one with 15.5 chf, that one might have better meat, but it is also the most expensive kebap in the world.
Point 2: They were outright rude. Here the story: after queuing for 5' (minutes), I arrive to the cashier. The cashier is away for 5'' (seconds). He comes, I order directly (1''), then he leaves for another 10''. In the meantime I already am making a video of 7'' seconds of their automatic machines, when the guy is arriving I switch it off directly to pay, and before I have time to do anything the guy says "I don't have time, sir". I say "me neither", I pay in 1'' and go. Seriously, we are speaking about 2'' delay from my side and I payed in 1'' (contact VISA) while I could have taken 20'', and the guy already was rude to me!
Point 3: It is a real fast-food mentality, just like MacDonalds. They put no salad in the donner box without asking you. They basically just put fries, fake meat and sauce... I saw them do it for the previous clients and I explicitly asked for salad. Then it was better (of course little salad like a real fast-food).
The only thing that is really impressive is how these guys manage to finish with 200 clients per hour!! It is the first time in my life that I see a robot cutting the donner salami in thin slices super fast. It is really impressive, it is the first one after more than 100 kebap places I've seen in my life. This, and being obliged because of proximity, are the only two reasons to eat...
Read moreI visited this place on May 17th. At the counter, I was speaking in English, and the cashier was responding in German, so communication was already a bit difficult. I showed him ✋ to indicate I wanted 5 chicken kebabs.
Then I went to the person preparing the food (who was honestly amazing — super kind, professional, and really made an effort to understand us). While explaining our order to him, I said we ordered 5 kebabs, and suddenly the cashier started yelling in German. I didn’t understand what he was saying, but he was pointing out 2 with his fingers ✌️ and claiming I only ordered 2 kebabs.
I went back to the counter and explained in English that I had shown 5 with my hand. Instead of listening, he got even more aggressive, speaking to me in a rude and condescending way, still shouting in German. I tried to calm him down, told him it’s not a big deal, I’d just pay for the 3 extra — but he kept complaining like I was trying to scam them. I had to repeat myself before he chilled out a bit.
Honestly, it was super embarrassing — I was with four friends, and the place was full. I felt really disrespected and humiliated for something that could’ve been solved calmly in 10 seconds.
If it wasn’t for the guy preparing the food (seriously, 10/10 to him), I would’ve rated this place much lower. The sandwich itself was decent — we’d give it a 7.5/10. But the cashier’s behavior really ruined...
Read moreI ordered a lamb kebap but it ended up being the most expensive combination of cheap tasteless pita bread with piles of onions, all kinds of types of onion cooked/uncooked, no need for sauce as maybe too expensive that’s why just a little, waited for 10 min queuing, expecting lamb, after digging in the onion pile I managed to find one chewy piece or 2 of the worst quality of meat, Luckely was so little of it that I did not have to endure to chew more of that plastic. The worst nightmare doesn’t end with 39 chf for 2 onion kebab, it was top up with piles of trash and dirt and filthy tables and floors. I don’t understand how someone could consider this place as the best kebab in town?! Come on people! what kind of standards do you have or have you ever eaten a normal kebab?! How this place could have 4.6 rating? Is this a joke? Specially in Zurich there great are kebabs in...
