Centro Caribbean — Restaurant in Zurich

The Caribbean looks like a hastily refurbished bar, with bachata and reggaeton hits blaring, and the corresponding music videos shown on multiple screens. It's a fun atmosphere, very much in contrast to Zurich's otherwise subdued character. The food itself is very good, except for two smaller issues: 1) the cheese balls seemed to have been fried in old oil, giving them a slightly off taste; 2) one of fried chicken pieces was undercooked, but the other four or so were perfect. The service can be very slow: we had to wait 30 minutes for the starter, and another 30 minutes for the main dishes. Prices are rather low for Zurich: a very filling dinner for two set us back 80 CHF....

Feedback in 4 languages - English, German, Turkish and Russian: They have big portions, very tasty food. But be prepared - place itself very small inside - so better to order table in advance. But In warm season not big problems - because they have big amount of tables and chairs outside. But in winter its a problem. Anyway besides this - service in nice, quality of food is one of the best in Zurich, with fair price. So - recommend to go.

This was my first time here and I was not disappointed! The food was traditionally spiced, slow cooked and they have good portion sizes which offsets it not being the least expensive place to eat. My personal suggestion would be to go with friends and share dishes as tasting all the different spicing of the dishes really elevated the experience.
