Dean & David — Restaurant in Zurich

We are regulars and used to come there every week. It used to be very friendly and pricey but unfortunatelly it all changed. Since about 4 months the portions got considerably smaller and considering the price of about 20 francs you will not get an adequate lunch out of your money. Whats even worse is that the portions vary on whether you're taking in to eat there or as a takeaway. The plates are very small and you will get about 1/4 less if you eat it there compared to a take away. The pinacle of it all came yesterday though. We wanted to pay (as we usually do) with the StuCard for young people which gives you 15% off their menu. The cashier Gerry then insisted that he can not apply this StuCard discount because we don't look like students. As we tried to talk sense into him that the StuCard has nothing to do whether you actually do study or not (disregarding the fact that he made assumptions about our occupancy based on our looks for now) and that there is an agreement between StuCard and Dean & David about this discount which requires him to give us the 15% off our order he did not comply and made us pay the usual fee. To top it all off we ordered take away but then received our Food on a normal in-house plate. After we said we wanted it as a Take away the staff just dumped our Food into a take away box and handed it to us. This made it even more visual how much less Food you get for a in house order as the take away box was only 3/4 full. So in summary, we as regular customers had to pay more than we were supposed to for less Food and got treated in a very rude way. This was the worst experience ever! I just ordered two meals from Dean&David using UberEat in Zurich. Dean&David did not put one of the meals into the bag for the Uber driver. I called the restaurant to complain. The service agent of the restaurant picket up the phone not even mentioning the name of the restaurant but just his name, leaving me puzzeled for a moment. He was very rude and also misinformed. He told me that the driver checks the bag but thats actually not true. Uber drivers dont and should not look into the bags they deliver. Mein Freund und ich haben heute Abend eine Lachs Avocado Bowl - die gemäss Menu-Karte Koriander beinhaltet - und eine selbstkreierte Bowl: Jasmin-Reis, Lachs, Granatapfel, Edamame, Salatblatt, Avocado mit Sesam-Sauce und Extrazutaten bestellt. Einerseits hat die Kassenangestellte uns als Neukunden inkompetent behandelt, da kaum Aufklärungsbedarf bezüglich der Sachen ihrerseits bestand. Zudem haben wir zur Lachs Avocado Bowl zusätzlich noch Granatapfel und zur selbstkreierten Bowl zusätzlich noch Koriander bestellt, zu unserem Leid stand grundsätzlich kein Ingwer zur Verfügung, aber Koriander wäre auch gut gewesen. Die Lachs Avocado Bowl beinhaltete schliesslich keinen Koriander und auch keinen Granatapfel wie bestellt und bezahlt. Auch beinhaltete die selbstkreierte Bowl kein Koriander. Zusätzlich haben wir noch einen bereits bereit gestellten Salat aus dem Kühlregal für 19.00 gekauft, die Kassenangestellte „Kiki“ gab mir weder einen Kassenbeleg, noch erwähnte Sie den Preis bzw. wieviel Geld ich Ihr geben soll. Ich habe ihr 50.- gegeben, sie hat es genommen und mir ca. 25.- und paar Rappen zurückgegeben. Heisst also Sie hat mir mind. 6.- nicht zurückgegeben. Leider habe ich das später erst gemerkt, da bereits die Bowls kamen und ich sonst abgelenkt war, da andere Kunden schon am Anstehen waren. Wir sind echte Poke Bowl-Liebhaber und wollten dean&david eine Chance geben, leider hat weder der Service gestimmt, der Verkauf wurde sehr unseriös abgewickelt, das Geld wurde mir nicht korrekt verrechnet, ohne Beleg, auch nicht im Kassenbildschirm habe ich den Preis des Salates gesehen, der Preis wurde auch nicht gesagt, nur inkorrekter Geldbetrag zurückgegeben.
