Aura has been our go-to place when we've wanted to celebrate something, both as a couple and as a family. We have in particular enjoyed the quality of the food as well as the attentive service. We have probable been to Aura about 20-30 times over the years. Unfortunately during the last 6 months we have noticed a significant decline, both in the quality of the food as well as in the service. The drop was yesterday when we had to wait close to an hour for our food and when it arrived the steaks were too cooked. I sent one of them back (the others were too hungry to wait) and we were told that it would take another hour for us to get a new steak. We ordered medium/rare and they were way too over-cooked. When you pay $55 for a steak, you want it to be good. The service was patchy. We were not offered anything else to drink after the first drink was done, we had to ask for bread and more water. From time to time we felt forgotten in the corner of the restaurant. We were very disappointed, and it's a bit sad since this is a place we have really loved. The restaurant took off the desserts from the bill to compensate that we were not happy. At least that.

I was invited to Aura by a colleague for lunch and the experience has been negative overall.

Let's begin with the positives. The restaurant looks really fancy and modern, staff speak English, and the location is brilliant. The coffee is really good.

That said, the customer service is really messy from beginning till the end which is just unacceptable given the price range. There are no signs on the menu to be found so one doesn't know whether something is vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc... They only have one vegetarian dish and they said they could make it vegan but they still brought it to me vegetarian and not vegan. Luckily, the staff member who took the order realised on time and swapped it. We had to ask for the bill twice which, once again, is not ideal if you're on your lunch break and have a limited amount of time.

Prices are way above average and while the food is ok, it's definitely not worth the price in my opinion.

I doubt I will be returning to Aura...
