HUNCHO — Restaurant in Zurich

I recently visited Huncho for a takeaway order, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. My friend and I arrived as a party of two, with approximately five people ahead of us and four behind. We expected a brief wait, which we were fine with, but the reality was far worse.

Despite the simplicity of their menu, which is almost entirely focused on burgers, the staff struggled with basic order management. To our surprise, the four parties who ordered after us received their meals before we did. To make matters worse, when our order finally began to be prepared, they informed us that there was an error with my friend's meal, and it would take additional time to correct. When my friend's order was finally ready, they had completely forgotten about mine, leading to an additional ten-minute delay.

Throughout this experience, the staff made no effort to make amends for their mistakes. A gesture as simple as offering a complimentary drink would have gone a long way in showing that they care about their customers, but instead, we were sent on our way without so much as an apology.

These are my favourite burgers in Zurich. I order them pretty often. Fries are amazing

Recently, I swung by with out-of-town guests and wanted to show them the burgers, but they didn’t have seating and my friends really wanted to sit inside. I starving was about to order a takeout burger for me and look for somewhere else to go for everybody else after, and the guy at the till told me there was another smash burger place right down the road.

I was so thankful that he recommended somewhere else for the whole group, even if it lost him business on that day. And he was right, the burgers there were good but not as good as Huncho :) got me a loyal repeat customer, and I’ll keep ordering via...

Schöner, kleiner Laden. Sehr nette Bedinung. Der Burger besteht aus qualitativ gutem Fleisch und frischen Zutaten. Die Portionsgrösse ist optimal um satt zu werden. Das Fleisch ist schön dünn gesmasht und richtig knusprig. Die einzigen kleinen Kritikpunkte sind dass, zumindest bei meinem Burger, das Fleisch fast zu stark gesalzen war und die (wirklich frischen und hausgemachten) Pommes für meinen Geschmack zu wenig frittiert und somit weich statt knusprig waren. Ansonsten aber wirklich ein leckerer Smashed Burger.

Update vom 08.09.2024:

Heute zum zweiten Mal besucht und bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal. Jetzt war alles perfekt ! Die Burger waren super Lecker. Schön dünn und knusprig gesmasht, genau richtig gewürzt und sehr schmackhaft. Die Pommes sind nun aussen perfekt knusprig und innen cremig. Das sind die besten Pommes die man weit und breit kriegen kann. Auch die Portionengrösse ist sehr grosszügig. Man wird sehr freundlich und mit einem Lächeln bedient. Dieser Burgerladen platziert sich in Zürich ganz oben. Klare empfehlung wer auf leckere Burger und wirklich hausgemachte und knusprige...
