STAMP Burgers — Restaurant in Zurich

Little gem with cool vibes and great products!

We learned about Stamped online, in our quest to search a very good burger. While everybody was saying that the best burger in ZH is BM, some people named Stamped too. So we got curios by a name we didn’t know yet. We also thought this place didn’t have too much hype around it. You can’t reserve not there’s a number online (and we didn’t know apparently this is not the case on IG). By total chance we found a spot inside - the only available left. The service, young British guy with a very Brit sense of humor was super efficient and nice to guests, despite the house clearly been full. To us, service is always part of the experience, and he definitely fit the context and elevated it. We didn’t wait much at all for our burgers. I was very happy with the buns, not the traditional ones you always see around. I am not sure if there was milk in the dough, but they resembled so much the brioche type of bread I was so used to in my childhood. I can’t really complain about the taste - even if the burger is on the smaller side, it will fill you. My partner had the Brie and Fois Gras - only small observation is that the taste of Brie gets lost in the burger. We were super happy with our fries - especially the normal ones. Maybe it was the half peel still there, or the way they were fried, but we really tasted the potato flavour (rather than salt and oil as usual). We also loved that sauces were already on the table, included the truffle mayonnaise. Prices were also fair - with mine being between 20-23 (don’t remember precisely) and that of my partner nearly 30 (but then again, fois gras). We walked out very happy (and he is a burger lover!). So what to say: consider having an early dinner, and definitely give this place a try because for sure it’s among the...

I have already eaten countless burgers.

Especially here in Zurich it is not so easy to get really good burgers. There are some quiet satisfying but not fully satisfying burger restaurants. The only ones which can really satisfy are the top hitters in Zurich "the bite", "Burgermeister", "EndiBurger"... but stamped burger leaves them all in its shadow... anyone who has eaten "five guys", or "In'n'out" knows how good they taste. However, they are fast food chains which are just a bit better than "mc donald" and "burger king".

But Stamped Burger stands out with taste, quality of ingredients and preparation, as well as presentation. The fries are also extremely good. Crispy and golden on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. Not wet, not cold, not dry... just perfect. Very good house sauce. The meat is perfectly handled and prepared to the point. Not too much not too little. Extremely tender and almost melt in your mouth with an equally tasty. The buns are as brown as after a summer vacation and as soft as the skin of your wife. Very good composition and combination of burgers with a large selection of side dishes of fries in different types.

We had the bacon cheese burger with the regular fries and were surprised to find a couple of brownie pieces separately with which also can not be put into words how delicious they tasted and how soft they were with a perfect amount of chocolate and slightly nutty note by the way.

I really hope that the guys will make the big break through and can soon move into a permanent restaurant which can welcome guests for dine-in.

Until then, I'll be indulging in the cooking skills and the variety of tastes of the guys via delivery...

I discovered Stamp Burger during CoVid lockdown and it was love at first bite and upon reading that they have a permanent location. This is one burger joint which I need to visit.

I have been to plenty of such burgers joints in Zurich and overseas but nothing can match Stamp Burgers in terms of taste and since my last visit was exactly one year ago, I decided to vidit them again.

My burger was well smashed and grilled perfectly with crispy crust but yet juicy is the middle and topped with generous amount condiments. #JawohlJa

I also llike the sides that my partner and I ordered. Sweet potato fries and Swiss fondue balls were good but their classic crispy fries were absolutely amazing and when partnered with their sauces, it's pure bliss. My favourite is the "Hot Stamp Sauce" with "Truffle Mayonnaise" close second.

Lastly, when all burgers and sides have been gobbled up, I get little Brownie bites to savour! Score ...
