Widder Bar — Restaurant in Zurich

The Idea of this restaurant is that you order a few things and share them. So you don‘t get actual meals just parts of them. The card is quite confusing and the friendly staff multiple times tried to abuse this, by trying to recommend you to order to much. Initially they recommended us to order food for 160 CHF pp. If you‘re not very hungry, you can eat here for a lot less (but then you will just eat pars of „meals“, because you will not order all the prices. The food is quite good, but in Zurich most places server better tasting food at these prices. It‘s also not very easy to eat healthy here. The atmosphere and vibe is quite cool though. The staff is very friendly but not very attentive. The bar serves a huge collection of whiskeys, but I wish it was more cozy. I have very mixed feelings, if you what decent food at a great location and don’t care to spend 150pp I might even recommend it. I am frankly disgusted by my experience here. While enjoying our drinks, members of our group were harassed by a group of belligerent old men who created a scene upon entry and used homopbobic slurs. When we raised this issue to the staff (who did in fact witness the entire thing and brushed it off) they noted that the member of the group who used the slur had left, and therefore they didn't need to remove the rest of their group, who continued to make uncouth jokes and vulgur comments, including that they knew they wouldn't be removed because of how much they were paying.

Typically when I dine or enjoy a drink at a respectable establishment, there is an expectation that if customers are harassing others in the establishment, they are removed. The manager here clearly prioritizes profits over preserving the bar's reputation.

If you're interested in somewhere that enables homopbobic, repulsive clientielle then this is the place for you. Otherwise, we found lovely, inventive drinks elsewhere and I encourage you to...

Nice drinks. Service was terrible, we had to tell them twice that we are ready to order after sitting there and waiting for almost an hour.

Also it was not possible to split up the bill. The server ( looks like Jake from twoandahalfmen) asked us to do the math our selfs as he had no time or no knowledge of simple math. Such things are in the cheapest bars possible. Interestingly the server boys were just waiting behind the bar. Looks like more work has to be done here by the clients. This is unacceptable for a place like this. After asking why he can't do it for a bill of CHF 600 for drinks he said he has no time and this isn't the usual case. Such things damper the experience which should be a fun night.
