From the moment I stepped into Zeughauskeller, I was impressed by the historical charm and architecture of the place. The restaurant is housed in a beautiful historic building, which adds a unique and authentic touch to the dining experience. Upon being seated, I noticed the welcoming ambiance with warm lighting, wooden furnishings, and tasteful decor that created a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The interior was tastefully decorated, reflecting the traditional Swiss culture and heritage. As someone who was in mood for something vegetarian that day, I was pleased to find an excellent selection of vegetarian options on the menu, including the veggie burger that caught my eye. When it arrived at the table, I was delighted to see a well-constructed and appetizing burger. The patty was made with a delicious blend of vegetables, grains, and spices, and it had a satisfying texture that made it a great alternative to the traditional meat burger. The service was exceptional throughout the meal. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, making excellent recommendations and accommodating any special requests. They were quick to refill drinks and check if everything was to my liking, making sure I had a pleasant dining experience. What impressed me most was the attention to detail in the presentation of the dishes and the overall service. Each dish was plated beautifully, and the staff made sure that I felt comfortable and taken care of from start to finish. Overall, Zeughauskeller Restaurant in Zurich exceeded my expectations. The great veggie burger, excellent service, and charming ambiance make it a must-visit for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. Whether you're a local or a tourist, this restaurant offers a memorable dining experience with a taste of Swiss history and cuisine. I will definitely be returning the next time I'm in Zurich!

Visited with a large group of colleagues. We made sure to book well in advance for Zeughauskeller given its immense popularity. And thank goodness we did - this historic beer hall and restaurant was absolutely busy on the night we visited. Tourists like it for goods reason. Part of Zeughauskeller's allure is undoubtedly the fantastic building itself, beautifully preserved with original artifacts and period decor that makes you feel transported back in time. We were fortunate to secure a cozy side table away from the lively noise, soaking in the ambiance while enjoying food, drinks and quite conversation. We sampled generously across the menu of Swiss offers like crispy schnitzel, rustic rösti potatoes and other traditional dishes - all delicious. I even had the gimmicky "Mayor's Sword" which was fine (not sure dish pricing is justified). The desserts quickly redeemed that misstep - they were excellent. What truly made our evening memorable, however, was the impeccable service we encountered. Despite the bustling crowds, our team of servers attended to our large party flawlessly from start to finish. Keeping drinks flowing, courses arriving promptly, and all with friendly courtesy. Overall, an evening at Zeughauskeller is about far more than just the food. It's a chance to sample Zurich's history and hospitality traditions in one unique, lively setting. The perfect venue for groups looking to pair a memorable night of dining with a hefty dose of Old World ambiance and conviviality. Highly recommended for the experience alone.

Nestled in the heart of Zurich's Old Town, Zeughauskeller is a charming restaurant that exudes a rich history and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Stepping inside, you're transported back in time to the 15th century, as you're surrounded by exposed wooden beams, ancient artifacts, and a cozy ambiance that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. Despite the bustling crowd on a Friday evening, the wait for a table was surprisingly short. I was quickly seated in the lively dining area, where the air was filled with the chatter of happy diners and the enticing aroma of traditional Swiss cuisine. To fully immerse myself in the culinary traditions of Zurich, I opted for the Sausages on Skewers and the Pork Knuckle. The portions were generous, and the flavors were hearty and satisfying, perfectly capturing the essence of Swiss comfort food. For dessert, I indulged in the Meringue, a delightful treat that added a touch of sweetness to my meal. Throughout my dining experience, the service was impeccable. The attentive staff was knowledgeable about the menu and eager to ensure that my every need was met. They seamlessly navigated the bustling crowd, ensuring that each table received prompt and courteous service. Zeughauskeller is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Swiss dining experience in a truly unique setting. With its rich history, delectable cuisine, and impeccable service, Zeughauskeller will leave you with a lasting impression of Zurich's culinary heritage.

Totally Disappointment That was first time for us in Zurich and we had only one hour for lunch so we didn’t want to leave up to chance our meal. We checked from google comments and found Zeughauskeller. Even though to the negative comments like ‘the place is very crowdy and noise is very disturbing inside’ we decide to eat there. We ordered a ‘schnitzel’ but I can’t say that was the worst one I’ve ever eaten because I couldn’t eat! Schnitzel’s outside was full of oil almost overflow and inside was tasteless like boiled a long time ago and also its smell was not good. We indicated our dissatisfaction about our order to the waiter and asked if it is possible to change it with chicken schnitzel that we hoped more tasty and less oily from that. But he denied our request. So we left the restaurant paying a lot of money with keeping our starvation. Long story short, don’t trust always the comments of majority . Sometimes places can pay no attention to the customers satisfaction when they get very popular and be demanded too much!

I absolutely love this restaurant. . We came here for dinner at approx 6pm & the place was almost full. We didn't book in advance but the staff at the door managed to put find us a table in no time (which we had to share a table with another family.) The food arrived quickly. We ordered a dish of German sausage with Swiss rosti (harsh brown), a pork shank with mashed potatoes, a large orange juice & apple juice. The foods were delicious & in large portions, everything was cooked perfectly except the sausage which I thought was a bit too salty. But our favourites were its rosti and mashed potatoes as they tasted much better than any restaurants we had tried in the UK. Despite the place was busy, staffs were genuinely friendly. Our dinner cost less than CHF 70 which I thought was very value for money in Switzerland standard. We had a great time here, good food, great atmosphere, love the atmosphere & its weapons decoration on the walls. I would highly recommend it to everyone in Zurich!
