I wondered if anyone has the same experience. The pin on Google Maps showed the location of the shop then we walked and reached the place and couldn't find the shop and the pin moved elsewhere to another spot across the street. Not sure if the former point was the original location then it moved to the market food area. Anyway it wasn't a difficult find cause the distance apart is probably another 3 minutes walk. Located at area D of the temporary market find the door D1 to enter and you will see the shop. Expected it to be busy and long queues at 830am in the morning but thankfully there wasn't, it was us who took longer time to decide what we wanted to eat instead. Very clean and bright environment, we placed our orders and was served rather quickly. Reviews for this place has been quite good so we made our way here to try. Didn't order a lot of items. First had the braised pork rice which we thought was not bad but quite different from typical ones. Typical gravy are more on the sweeter side but this place is quite unique it's slightly on the saltier end. The vegetables were okay we wished it could be cooked longer and softer, the braised tofu was very soft and it was so good could literally melt in the mouth. The other highlight has to be the spare rib soup, the flavours were on point and the meat was so soft it just fell off from the bones. The other ingredients like the wintermelon also helped to enhance the flavours of the soup. Pretty good meal here, come early to avoid long queues heard can be long during lunch. Recommended to order the tofu and the spare rib soup. Pretty value for money and...

There is always a very long queue of this place, but be aware, it's NOT because of the delicious food, it's simple due to the extremely slow speed of the owner.
Seriously all the items are precooked so the owner just need to serve the food after order, they can just manage to use the slowest speed to prepare the order. You just need to cup the rice into a bowl and pour some meat gravy onto the rice!!!!!!!
I visited at 0930 am on a weekday yet there's still a small queue. 90% of the seats were empty and mosts customers were just simply waiting for the very slow owners. I only ordered two rice and one soup, the owner even need a calculator......
Anyway, the soup taste better than the rice. The minced pork rice is EXTREMELY average, nothing special. However there are lots of small bones in the soup from the way they chopped the pork ribs and that's what I hate about most Taiwanese shops that sell pork rib soup. Why don't you just use the machine to cut the bone while it's frozen????? Therefore you won't have any small pieces of bones in your soup!
Won't come back to this place. I would say the minced pork rice next door at 華媽媽 is good enough for a simple meal. It's totally unnecessary to visit this slow and...
Read moreBy chance saw this stall online and decided to give a try when travel to Taipei . We were there ard 1220pm and that’s the only long queue stall in the food centre. Waited for abt 30mins and there still long queue behind us. So lucky us as we are the last 2 customers they accepted. Looks like it’s a family run business. nothing shout out about service coz they are so so busy on the operation and take order. We have to queue and take order first then they will show us the seat. Lady boss will start prepare the item once have our order chit. For item that out of stock, lady boss will inform and suggest alternative item. For food, it’s definitely worth 5stars and above. Braised gravy and the meat of Lu rou fan is very gelatin, thick yet not oily at all. Sauce and rice portion is well balance, not too less nor too much. We ordered pork tongue also, the texture is perfectly cooked, not too soft nor rough. Also maybe is the pork and on well handling in preparation, meat and intestines are fresh that don’t have any unpleasant smell. In fact all the intestines are braised in a big pot thus are so flavorful and delicious. Suggest to go earlier as they literally will cut off the queue once reach...
