Kahu Craft Beer Garden — Restaurant in Beitou

First time visiting the Kahu Craft Beer Garden as an expat living in Taiwan for 8 almost years. The tranquil atmosphere is a highlight as is the darts board, craft beer and pizzas (which were pretty good actually - contrary to some of the reviews on here). The hosts were very welcoming, and they have designed a homely well thought out space tucked in a green corner in this peaceful area with a hot springs stream gurgling in the background. Plenty of quality outdoor tables, comfy seats with umbrellas and lost of flowers and plants in the garden make for an enjoyable backdrop to sink a beer or three. Definitely worth a visit if you...

This place is lovely! The sweet river flowing next to you, the beer selection. But I cannot abide pizza with cardboard crust. The toppings were fine, the sauce was even good. But it was like eating a pizza box on the bottom. I can't say I'd come back here unless they had other menu items, aside from pizza.

Update! I've been here since several times since I wrote this review. I still can't say the pizza is great. But everything else about it is so good and it's such a great spot for gathering folks and the staff is so wonderful. It overrides everything else. Bump that 3...

A pretty nice place to chill and relax at, especially in the evening/night after you’ve had a nice day of sightseeing and soaking in the hot springs. This place is more like a pub so don’t expect restaurant-standard food.

The pizza (we got the chorizo) toppings were nice and it was pretty sizeable, but the crust/pizza base itself was not great. Breaded oysters and the bruschetta was nice.
