TAKUSYAKU is a small, intimate bar where every drink feels personal. The owner, Young, is a bartender + artist. You can see it in the way he handles each ingredient, in the fire behind his eyes as he prepares your cocktail. He truly loves what he does, and it shows.

Their selection of Kavalan whisky is one of the best I’ve come across. I had the chance to try nearly the full range, and each pour was served with a story or a tasting note that deepened the experience. It’s rare to find that level of attention in such a relaxed setting.

Young also runs another spot geared more toward the younger crowd with an all-you-can-drink package.

For me, this is the place I’ll always return to in Taipei when I’m looking for good whisky, delish cocktails, and a quiet evening filled with quality conversation.
