The cocktails at the bar I visited in Taipei were quite flavorful, but unfortunately, they were too sweet, which hid any complexity they may have had. While the drinks were enjoyable, I couldn't help but feel like they were missing that extra something that would have made them truly exceptional.
That being said, the ambience of the bar was fantastic. It had a great atmosphere for a first date or a casual night out with friends, and the decor, inspired by the prohibition era, was a nice touch. The old building that housed the bar also added to the character of the space.
While the service was okay, I did have to get up to the bar to order drinks, which was a bit inconvenient. It also seemed like the staff wasn't particularly keen on serving tourists, which was a bit disappointing.
Overall, I feel like the star of this bar is definitely its ambience rather than its cocktails or service. While I wouldn't go out of my way to visit this bar again for the drinks, I would definitely recommend it for its great atmosphere and...

Read moreI really enjoyed the ambience of the place, it's fairly unique and easy to chat over a few drinks at night.
The interior courtyard has a vintage Taiwanese appearance and the area all around the bar itself maintains a very comfortable and relaxing antique feel.
I came here with the friend who recommended the place to me, and we decided to try a couple of their signature cocktails: The first was a tasty, but smooth sake-based cocktail with a peach flavor. It was light but still had plenty of alcohol for the price.
The second was a somewhat strong, gin-based apple and cinnamon cocktail. If you've ever wanted to drink apple pie and get buzzed, this is a good choice. My friend couldn't finish it because it was a little too strong for her, so I helped.
Overall, the cocktails were fantastic. Will definitely come again to try some of their coffee...
