True to its name, I understood why it's called " WA COW 哇 靠" because holy sheeeet the portions are humongous. 😱
Thank goodness they set a minimum order of NT 60 per pax for your visit because 1 item on its own could feed T least 2 person.
⏲️ Waiting Time We came around 11 am for brunch and was very lucky to have available seats for 2. The rest who came after us had to gawk at the window for about 30 minutes. Each customer has a dine in time limit of 50 mins to cater to other patrons who want to dine here. Food came pretty fast within 10 mins.
Here is what we had:
🥛FREE FLOW DRINKS There were around 4 huge canisters of beverages ranging from vinegar drinks, milk tea, Black tea, and water to choose from. 1 mug is to be taken from the side and refilled as and when you're done with your cup.
🍝 Vongole Pasta- 清酱白酒蛤蜊 意大利面 (NT 170) This is no traditional Italian pasta but a homey twist to it with unconventional ingredients such as the use of walnuts instead of pine nuts, the addition of carrots and onions and lack of peperoncino
Mountainous portion of succulent clams drenched in white wine & chopped garlic. Heavily garnished with dried parsley over the dish. The hearty broth fills up 3/4 of the dish, and boy, was it good. I drank every last drop of this homey warm, briny & garlicky pasta soup dish. I rate: 5/5 🌟
🥪 Panini Pressed Peanut Butter, Bacon Cheese Sandwich - 花生培根起司 (NT 110) A combination that works well for peanut butter and bacon, which gave a nutty heaviness and sweetness to the caramelised bacon. Surprisingly, the bacon layers was rather tender and not overly salty. The bread slices were THICK and stacked on the inside with some green sprouts, lettuce, and a slice tomato. I rate: 4/5 🌟
🥗 Mashed Sweet Potato & Fruit Salad, Small - 地瓜泥水果沙拉 (小份) (NT 80) This was not small at all. Its a platter enough to share between 3 adults... there was pineapples, guava, watermelon, oranges, mashed orange sweet potatoes & lettuce with passion fruit salad dressing. I...
Read moreA really good place to eat! Despite a temporary lack of staff, service was super fast and friendly. The air conditionner was really agreable to rest there, while eating. And what food! You wont get out of there hungry! It s cheap and really good, and burgers or sandwiches are huge! I took a duck/onions burger, and it could easily be on the tables of the south of France, where duck is a specialty. Yummy! The mexican roll (not sure that the translation matches, as in mandarin, it s written "sicilian") is more than huge, and tastefull and very good too. The french fries were really good too. Hours later, i still feel so full (but happy!) We had an english menu, without asking, totally understandable and clear. There are two lovely cats in the restaurant. They are adorable and nice, very clean and they love having a small carress behind the ears while sleeping. It s so nice to see them sleep and hug! :) Oh, and toilets are clean, which is always...
Read moreI am very happy of having eaten here and i may consider to return here during my stay in Yilan. Their sweet cute cat welcomed us when we entered and then when we ordered food we were quite glad that they had vegetarian options (奶素) and that they could make the Cuban sandwiches I ordered without onion, garlic and eggs! They were also nice to listen and take into consideration my allergies. The quality of the food is awesome, you don't often eat so delicious sandwiches (I suggest the Cuban sandwich with Rosemary and the one with banana) but also my partner got a very huge and delicious portion of clam noodles (he said clams are fresh and there are really many actually) and of fries. Price was really nice. I spent 220 for two Cuban sandwiches and just one Cuban sandwich (110) is more than enough to make you full!!!
However no hamburgers here!
Suggested 5/5!!! Awesome. Will...
