LOKA CAFE — Restaurant in Keelung

Worst service we ever experience in Taiwan. I always think that all people in taiwan are super friendly and welcoming until I visited this cafe. Seem like the owner does not welcome tourist especially those with family or babies. Our 15th months old baby was crying when he entered the cafe due to the rainy and cold weather that day. Not only did the owner not greet or welcome us, he showed us an angry and frustrated look. When we settle down on the sofa he pointed to my boy's shoes stepping on his sofa and demanded that we take off his shoes cause it was dirtying his sofa. 來基隆辦事情提早結束，暖呼呼的太陽讓我們還捨不得離開這個地方，翻閱一下附近的咖啡店家，發現有間從窗口，就能好好欣賞藍色天空，照著超巨大郵輪的咖啡店。

那便是「LOKA CAFE」，店名來自於有著一雙長腳的老闆（台語發音即是LOKA）

據說，他曾在台北中山北路的「二條通綠島小夜曲」工作，家住新店的他，居然是騎機車往返基隆兩地，相當令人佩服的每日通勤距離。

中正路上的店門小卻吸引人注意，門口僅放了一個立牌提醒，不大張旗鼓的打擾街景，直到妳推開有著一扇玻璃窗的木門，踏上階梯，便來到了一個小而美好的空間。

平日到訪，有許多當地的居民，或是帶著電腦來此辦公、或只是來休息的客人，店裡的氣憤透著陽光，有種小而溫馨的祥和感。

原來的我們，坐在了左手邊是窗戶的吧檯旁，稍微等了一下，在客人散出之後，便可透過直面碼頭的窗，一窺巨大遊輪的模樣。

恰巧碰到一艘較為小型的郵輪正好要出港，只見其緩緩地轉身、掉頭，像個龐然大物一般，看起來有些笨重，卻優雅的決定了航向，在留下一些尾跡之後，便往地平線那端駛去。

另一邊的窗戶，則可以完整看見郵輪的停泊區，船務人員上上下下，仔細端倪一下每個窗口，上頭的陽台不時有人進出，此時的我們，突然變得童心未眠，搶著要比對方先找出在這艘巨物身上每一個微小的動靜。

冰維也納咖啡（140元）與白酒荔枝檸檬乳酪蛋糕（140元） 今天不是辦公，不想喝何時都可以來上一杯的拿鐵，既然要好好休息，便選擇了濃郁、冰涼，甜美並存的維也納咖啡，而且天氣很熱，所以是冰的。咖啡帶點若有似無的酸度，冰涼的溫度相當沁心。

喝著咖啡，看著外頭，這幾道玻璃窗，彷彿隔離了外頭帶點黏又溫暖的海風氣味，讓人舒適的坐在巨大窗前，輕鬆的盯著郵輪，幻想自己哪一天能登上船頭，如電影中一樣，乘著浪頭迎風前進，直至完全不熟識的國度。

基隆港的東岸、街景的二樓、一杯咖啡、一個下午，一趟幻想的旅程。 LOKA...

維也納咖啡超好喝。One of the best Vienna coffee in Keelung. The sesame cheesecake and scones are delicious as well. The location is right across from the cruise terminal, which isn’t too hard to find. The atmosphere is 👌with relaxing music.
