For all the expats + people passing through Tamsui you should come here to eat the popular local dish called Agi

It's clear noodles stuffed inside tofu placed on top of a red sweet and sour sauce/soup. You eat it by cutting your chop sticks through the tofu and mixing it together with the sauce. Then you eat it like you would normal noodles.

I have had this dish all over this area and this is my favorite flavor + the owner is so helpful if you are not fluent in Chinese.

Stores with dishes like this are kind of hard to order at because Agi doesn't have a direct translation. Even though there is a menu its hard to know what they sell.

This place has really good “A-Gae”!! It has lots of fillings and when you cut into it, the glass noodles soak up all the soup and sauce, which makes it super tasty! The pork blood cake is chewy and delicious. The tempura bowl was alright...
