SECOND FLOOR CAFE Tamsui Station — Restaurant in New Taipei

tbh, i don’t know what the hype is. the food is at best, mediocre, at worst cold and underwhelming.

i had a kimchi omelette and my friend had a pesto fettuccine with shrimp. i tried his fettuccine, and the pesto sauce tasted more like salted grass than pesto. my omelette was cold, dry and flakey, and the kimchi inside the omelette wasn’t cut up into bite size pieces, so i ended up chewing on huge pieces of cold cabbage. the crudités (small hard slices of bread with pieces of tomato) cut the roof of my mouth. the only thing that was passable was the thick cut fries.

overall, everything felt underwhelming, cold, uninspiring. not sure if they were going for “fusion” or what. but the food isn’t western, American, Italian, or…not sure. just did not land for myself...

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, thanks to the exceptional service from C.C. From the very first time I visited, she went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Noticing that I am a foreigner, she immediately spoke to me in English and took the time to recommend dishes instead of just handing me the menu and walking away. Her kindness, attentiveness, and willingness to explain everything truly made a difference in my dining experience.

I highly recommend C.C. and her manager for their outstanding hospitality. Thank you for going the extra mile, especially for foreigners like me. Wishing you all the best, and I will definitely be...

沒遇過整體這麼用心的餐廳

裝潢現代美式鄉村風 看得出來裝潢燈光座椅 就連抱枕的風格都有挑過

還有可愛又溫馨的橘子樹

菜單 設計的非常用心 不管是食物拍攝，選的字體 整體的排版，色調 看得出非常用心的規劃和選設計師 （內頁食物拍攝真的非常屌 整個擺設高規格）

看了非常爽 尤其有一張人臉被蛋糕砸的照片 跟一頁抹了奶油的單頁 還有食物交疊反重力的食物攝影

菜單多加了一些頁面（但沒有菜品） 是一本不單單只是菜單的菜單 傳達一種生活感覺結合藝術 他想給人的態度

創辦人的話讀了 他認真的想把生活的美好與放鬆 藉由餐廳來傳達自己最初的理念 因為現代人都太緊繃了 反而悠哉放鬆是一種奢侈

感受滿滿想把事情做好的心

食物吃起來也很用心 尤其是圓圓的附餐迷迭香麵包 算是一顆簡單的麵包

但有在做烘焙的人 吃了就能感覺到 這是一款 單純 很舒服治癒有著迷迭香清香的麵包

我不知道怎麼講 但你吃了就會知道我在公啥小

感覺沒啥阿里不打的添加

有時候簡單單純 反而容易觸動人心

菜單的品項很多 但看得出來 每一樣的擺盤和料理的研發 背後都有專業廚師設計過，試味... 口味剛剛好

食材吃起來都是中上的水準 每一個品項都有花心思的感覺

即使是一小杯果汁，麵包 有喝一款什麼萊姆檸檬茶 喝得出來，茶包是挑過的 滿好喝

飲品跟麵包可以續

生日蛋糕居然 還是一整塊四寸的奶油巧克力蛋糕 跟外面比起來 真的算願意給的豪邁 而且是當月壽星 不是當日

好開心 我有巧克力蛋糕糕可以吃 在我人生最破爛的時候 (⁠⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠⁠)

心情不好 帶兔子去吃 以為只有狗貓有附餐跟水

結果他居然也有給兔子的 水碗跟飯碗上面還有寫 某某寵物的水水跟飯飯

ㄚ好可愛(⁠ ⁠；⁠∀⁠；⁠) 好用心(⁠´⁠；⁠ω⁠；⁠｀⁠)

服務生還問我家兔兔 要不要吃菜菜 後來拿了一點好吃的生菜

我家兔子吃的很開心

(不過兔主人要自行評估 有些兔兔不太能吃過多鮮食 或怕菜不知道有沒有洗乾淨農藥等等)

反正這方面自行評估

因為不像貓狗 如果真的不舒服 有食品供應商追查討公道 畢竟兔子比較脆弱

商家也是好意，用心 也會變通，生出跟貓狗心意一樣的菜菜

就雙方一定要自行評估清楚 再做決定！

還是很開心 廚房問要不要吃菜菜(⁠⁠´⁠ω⁠｀⁠⁠)

觀察到這些細節 一整個非常的感人

願意打那麼多是因為 真的喜歡

這麼用心的做事 讓我也感覺到在那裡吃飯 認真的被對待

對我來說 這是一場藝術饗宴 因為我一直觀察到很多的細節 雖然說這樣講 有點誇張

但 真的這麼覺得
