The service was absolutely terrible. When we entered, the staff at the front desk was very kind and guided us to our seats in a friendly manner. However, the female server assigned to our table was extremely rude, to a level that was honestly shocking.
It was our first time visiting this restaurant, and we weren’t familiar with the ordering system, so we pressed the call bell. The staff member came over but didn’t even bother to listen to what we were saying—she just pointed at the QR code and said “QR code!” before walking away. It left a bad impression, but at least we figured out how to order, so we placed our order.
Unfortunately, we accidentally submitted the same order twice. We quickly pressed the bell again, but nobody came. We wondered if maybe the bell didn’t work, so we pressed it one more time—just to make sure the duplicate order wouldn’t go through.
That same female staff member finally showed up, glaring at us and looking annoyed, and simply showed us a printed translation that said, “Please press the bell only once.” She was visibly irritated the entire time.
It made us feel so uncomfortable that we honestly considered just leaving right then. But since we’re travelers, we didn’t want to ruin our trip with friends over this, so we simply said okay.
She didn’t seem to speak any English, and we had a hard time communicating. Every time we made eye contact, she would glare at us with clear irritation and frustration. Even with a mask on, we could tell she was constantly frowning—that’s how obvious her attitude was.
Whenever we finished a dish, she would come over and snatch the plates away without a single word. Eventually, there was nothing left on our table. Was that her way of telling us to leave? We noticed that the couple at the next table didn’t get that kind of treatment, even when they pressed the bell. Was it because we were young foreign women? It really felt discriminatory and left us deeply offended.
To the female server with the exaggerated eyeliner drawn all the way to her temples— If you don’t want to work, please don’t. This job clearly doesn’t suit you. The food here is delicious, and the other staff members were extremely kind and welcoming. Please don’t ruin the reputation of this restaurant—or Taiwan—because of your attitude. And please don’t treat other customers the way you treated us.
We truly appreciated the kindness of the other staff, but we had no choice but to write this review because of this one employee. Even without mentioning her name, I’m sure anyone working there would know who I’m talking about—the rudest female staff member in the restaurant.
If she weren’t there, we would absolutely love to come back. The food is great and the atmosphere is lovely.
She didn’t kindly explain that we should only press the bell once — instead, she showed us a translation with an annoyed attitude. From the moment she started showing frustration toward us as customers, I feel like we should have just left the restaurant right then. Looking back, I really regret not walking out at...
Read moreNice View. Average food. Expensive. Not Worth it.
The view and environment is ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ but the food is ⭐️⭐️
First, the service was not bad. I got a free delicious 4 inch rose flavored cake because it was my birthday and two staff also came over and sang happy birthday to me. AHAH it was pretty awkward because they seemed very uninterested, but it was a fun experience.
The food was average and a little underwhelming compared to the pictures on the menu. Everything seemed a lot smaller in portion. Especially the steak/ meat that I ordered was so different from the picture on the menu and super small. The plating of the food were pretty and the taste was decent/average.
The food was average, but I would not consider returning because it is a pricey. Taiwan has many other cheap delicious food places that I would rather spend my money on.
I sat in one of the individual booked rooms, the view was great because we got to open the windows and enjoy the view and wind; however, the seats, pillows, and tables were especially dusty. I had to use 3 wet wipes to completely wipe off all the dust/ dirt/ or whatever it was off the table; the wipes...
Read moreAmbiance is gorgeous and the service is perfect. If you want beautiful sunset waterfront pictures, definitely head over an hour before sunset for some primo photography opportunities.
The staff are very indulgent and friendly. They know people are there to take photos and they help with moving tables around, taking group shots, and generally being amenable to people shuffling around the place to get the best angles.
The food, however, was a miss. Everything again was beautifully presented but the flavors were just not there. I'd never had a bland flan before I came here. A lot of dishes actually were pretty bland for a place that is attempting to channel South East Asian island cuisine. Not enough spice or punch to any of it.
The coffee drinks were good though. And their bathrooms are beautiful and clean!
They do not take reservations so on weekends with nice weather, be prepared to wait 30 mins to 1 hour...
